I don't know how many times I went to see this movie in 1984 into 1985. Where I lived, Prince didn't come. I remember feeling devastated when I moved to Florida for college and found out Prince performed in Tampa and I just missed it...

What a great summer that was. I was getting ready for my first year in high school. Watching PR brings back a lot of cool memories. I was a Prince fan already, but after the movie dropped and with the massive success of When Doves Cry, all my friends came around to the greatness of the little purple genius.

I love the PR DE, but yeah agree with you all that we need a SDE of this iconic album.

Of course all the bullshit clothes they sell earn much more money but I imagine most of us on here are more interested in archival releases than that.

After this huge failure, the only sensible thing now would be for Londell and Spicer to resign and let people who actually care about Prince's music and his legacy run the estate.

Or... sell the music to a label that will monetize it and keep the celebration & bedsheets for themselves.

I would RATHER see the music run by the estate than a label, but if they're not gonna do it, a label is better than nothing.
