Download codes for Diamonds and Pearls SDE included?

So, I recently read that record companies weren't including download codes with new releases because few people bother to download them. Personally, I like having the downloads for various reasons. Ok, mainly my old iPod 🤣😂🤣
My question is, are the download codes included with the UK vinyl copies of Diamonds and Pearls SDE? If not I might be tempted to pay less and get the CDs instead 😎✌️🎸

When they do include download codes, what format/bit rate are the files typically? Are they lossless .flac or .wav? If they're .mp3, are they 256 or 320 kbps?

Don't know, but most humans can't hear the difference, so it doesn't really matter. I can't pick lossless from 320k mp3, in blind tests.

I know. Professional audio engineers listening on high end speakers can sometimes tell the difference, but they're the exception. Self-proclaimed audiophiles invariable fail blind tests. Nevertheless, I was curious.

I've liked having flac or similar in the past because I was always burning stuff to CD or compressing things in other formats. You want something uncompressed for that.

I agree that you would need some seriously high end gear, and trained ears, to tell the difference. My friends and I failed a blind test on my old but pretty high end system a few years ago.

wtf is the relevance if people can Pepsi challenge distinguish between MP3 vs. FLAC vs. WMA vs. OGG?

You paid for a product and should be given the standard lossless, not the bare minimum "well you really can't notice anyway" because of semantics.

Legitimately disappointing. I will stick to the cheaper option so I can rip the CDs and listen as I choose. Thanks for the feedback 😎✌️🎸

This is a good point.
