Last year's celebration...the VIP track $1k. Absolutely not worth it. In fact, save for a unique experience to see NPG jamming/recording, it was pretty insulting. VIP times were always early, and the only memento given to vip was a purple handkerchief (that came in a nice box that we thought was gonna be jewelry) with instructions on how Prince would wear it. Not to mention it was a super covid spreader event. So this year should be interesting...but plenty of offtrack stuff to go to "You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

Seeing the NPG jamming/recording in a PP studio is pretty cool. How long was it for? Not worth an extra $500 though. |

it was pretty awesome. Audience and band each had headphones and we could control volume. Band was playing a session recording of a Sexy MF sequel called Son of Sexy MF and Prince was directing the band in the recording and the live band infront of us was following his directons and we could hear through our headphones. Did 2-3 run throughs of it and audience participated with our handclaps recorded then Q/A after the whole thing.

Regards whether 'VIP' is worth it, I went VIP on the first years, but afterwards, I sold the signed headliner posters that were free for VIPs. I made more money than the cost of the VIP ticket and my whole trip. . |
