That was expected. it was rumored that most of the people that we're interviewed weren't happy with the focus of the questoins being mostly on Prince's alledged 'drug use'.

I'd rather have a reputable music documentary director direct a series focussed on the music and projects than some gossipy standard and by the numbers 'rock star takes drugs' doc.

Yeah this is what I'm not understanding.

He is not confirming anything. I'm more curious about the guy who claims people from the estate are cockblocking the project vs Spicer.

I totally agree.I don't wanna see a tabloid-ish type documentary that spends too much time focusing on Prince's alleged drug use.

We don't know for sure it was going to focus on drug use. It was supposed to be 8 parts, covering different aspects of his life and career.

If a documentary happens, I would like to see it done by someone reputable and held in high regard. I just read that Antoine Fuqua is doing an MJ biopic. That's the level of person I want handling anything involving Prince. A name that is instantly recognizable and is known for a lot of great content. Can we get a Ken Burns Prince doc? I'm kidding, of course, but that's kinda in the vein of what I'm hoping for.

Was looking forward to this , really disappointed. Does that mean we can start getting releases again since the doc was supposedly blocking this from happening with the exclusive deal they made?

this is prince world. our luck will be that we don't get any documentary (i can live with that) and yet
won't get any music either until the documentary contract stipulations end

oh well, maybe we'll get something in 2024.
