Any Fans of Pheremone? That Song's lyrics are Wild!
That Song could have been used in a Movie.

The lyrics are interesting. I wonder if it's based on a true story.

Maybe a movie made from the song?

All of COME is superb. Every day when I awake, the greatest of joys is mine: that of being ME.

I think it's the song with the most dated production but it's a guilty pleasure. I would probably be embarrassed to drive with the windows down blasting it and that's usually the metric for a good Prince song to me.

My friends and I did a top 20 Prince songs that made us Prince-heads Pheromone was my #8
Those lyrics are cinematic, poetic and sexy... that dude was seriously other-worldly
I see a tear headed down towards a smile What happens next? It all depends on your style
INSANE that this was such a troubled period bc Come is GREAT

A lot of his 90's stuff would be phenomenal if he hadn't dropped the ball on the production quality.

. Your metric for a good Prince song is how embarrassed you are of hearing it in the presence of other people? That's... interesting. Prince music is often weird/quirky. That's why it's good. At least for me.

I'd blast "Pheromone" anywhere, in a hot second. Especially with stuff like "Jughead," "Arrogance," "Shy," and "Graffiti Bridge" floating in the recent past from it. Every day when I awake, the greatest of joys is mine: that of being ME.

This applies to a lot of his songs I suppose. I recently had the urge to turn P Control down at some traffic lights when the chorus kicked in. . I loved Pheromone on first listen/sight in The Beautiful Experience movie

. I've just listened to "Pheromone", "Jughead," "Arrogance," "Shy," and "Graffiti Bridge".

. Exactly. This applies to a lot of the music I listen to, actually. Not that I'm embarrassed by it, but I know that "most people" are on a completely different planet when it comes to music. . I remember a time when I was listening to some Herbie Hancock at work and a colleague of mine asked: "What is this crap?" (or something to that effect) And it was one of the funkiest versions of "Spider" I've ever heard (the version with Wah-Wah Watson, Bill Evans, Darryl Jones, etc. from 1989). Come on. . My brother, who is also a Miles Davis fan, was blasting "Agharta" in his room with his windows open, once when he was a teenager (that was a long time ago, in the late 80s). A friend of his came near his (open) window and, again, thought my brother was completely crazy to listen to that kind of music.

One of the best songs (ie the songs that come hardest) on come.

Both you and your brother have impeccable taste! I was listening to Agharta on my headphones today funnily enough. I've just ordered a JBL bluetooth speaker to listen to on my travels, so the inhabitants of small town where I live should be really pleased. I'm looking forward to sharing Naked City/John Zorn's Torture Garden with everyone at my local coffee shop.
