Would be cool if they updated it to be an augmented reality feature or update the hologram if they can, but yea, would be cool if it was much bigger.

Yes! or use the whole band pic, I know they would normally use multi angle shots to create the hologram but a lot of current software can create depth from a 2D image

guys they didn't tease anything prior to announcement with 1999 and sott

sure under new management etc etc but this is just another filler post from them

It's gonna happen this year, mark my words. There's so much leading up to it. I have a feeling it's been done and was going to be released last year, but production issues caused a delay, most likely vinyl pressing issues, but COULD be because there's going to be a huge D&P hologram on the front and THAT delayed it. It's coming this year, though. I can't wait!

I would prefer it to be the regular blue album cover. That cover is beautiful and one of his
best post-lovesexy covers.

The hologram was a nice gimmick but as a cover I always prefered the blue one.

It's bizarre that you think you know what's going on inside "The Estate". The releases have never stopped and we WILL see a D&P SDE THIS year. Count on it.

From a legal point of view regarding the current status of the Estate I don't think there will be a release this year but ...Future will tell....i wish ure right ?

I also belive (and have for decades) that the contents of the vault are not as vast as some think. YES 100s or 1000s of hours or recordings: mostly live/rehersals/jams.

I think the vast majority of the studio songs are known. Many of the ones through the 80s are leaked...

Now that the early albums (other that sound tracks) are moving away from WB and since WB owns the most of the unrelaased tapes throug the mid 90s. SD of anything prior to D&P is almost no chance. Maybe companion albums or sets?

And there is a good chance that even if D&P were to revert to Sony that because the set was designed and finished before the dead line that WB can still release it.

There is PLENTY in there, even just going off what is on princevault, and if 1999 and SOTT are anything to go off most likely lots more that are totally unknown

yeah but not 1000s of studio songs... and not masses that are better than anything he released. I wish I was wrong... I hope I am wrong... but if the had so many great unreleads and unknown songs (they are aware of Princevault, and the book the vault and Tudal's books and what is or is not in wide cirulation... but they release "welcome to america" (even Prince knew it was not all that even compaired to 20ten and Planet Earth.

Or maybe it's just a sign that the project has been shelved and all we have left is the D&P merchandising ? What sense does it make to put all this stuff for sale without any kind of announcement ? I can't see any other reasons. It was scheduled but cancelled and now they have all this merchandising to offer but no SDE.

I understand your thinking as usually the merch comes out AFTER the announcement, but I still have hope that it is coming.

They managed to release a single for the celebration on SONY records so why not the SDE?
