And if they can't figure out the rights issue, Sony can release a remastered classic album with a live disc/DVD, and WB could release a companion album of outtakes simultaneously. None of this stuff is impossible. Just put the shit out!

1999 SDE was unofficially announced on a private Discord server almost a year before it was officially announced and was reviewed and analyzed months before it was released.
Purple Rain Deluxe tracklist was shared on a Japanese fan site and on a Google+ site and a week later Militant/Casey Rain/Violet Reality claimed that info as his/there own.
Originals was unofficially announced or talked about with a rumoured release date and tracklist (that turned out to be true) months before it was officially announced on some non-Prince subReddit.
Parade and SOTT SDE's were detailed almost 2 years before the release of SOTT SDE.
D&P SDE was rumoured and discussed to have been worked on months before the rumours started here.
W2A was unofficially announced and even a version of it was shared 4 months before it was officially announced.
Purple Rain Live Blu Ray was said to have been worked on weeks before the official announcement.

Same for the demo singles, I Feel FOr You and Do Me Baby (and other demos for potential releases)

The only thing really new was Piano and Mic 83 that came out of the blue.
The soundboard audio for the complete Glam Slam show that was screended at the celebration was shared to some a week before the announcement that it would be screened, that is hardly a coincidence IMO.

There have been more rumors but I'm not privy to that info and have to wait untill it reaches another place I'm on.
All this info and rumours came from a well known ex-orger.

Just saying. Its to bad Prince.org isn't what it used to be.

D&P was rumoured one year and an half ago. I was the first here opening a topic about it at the time to spread the " Information" From Schkopi. I also expressed the fact the timing was impossible to deliver. How visionary I was. Now, WB has to share the rights with Sony, so D&P is already a loooong-time dead project.

D&P and W2A were mentioned to be worked on in july/august 2020, long before Schkopi mentioned it. No release date was pinned for either yet because that was just speculation from fans just like with Parade SDE.

D&P was already said to have been put on on the backburner in a post/mail in november 2020 and W2A was said to be worked on for release but most likely not as the version that was shared to some back then.
Around that time a alternate W2A album and the original TRC testpressing with a different A-side and later the testpressing for 3121 (with 'Streets of Panama' on it) were shared among some and more rumors were flying around about those albums. The 3121 and TRC potential releasee rumors were denied quickly when the person who shared them said they were not being worked on and the info was just dropped by him for the anniversary of the albums. Some people here were shared the info and the rips of those original testpressings in private but as usual nothing was shared here or other places in public.

Still want to read all the write ups on the SDE's and the other releases from the guy. I know he shared or shares them to some here but it would be great if he would come back here and post them here just to give this site a boost again. But wil probably Never happen.
Most people who are casually interested in Prince wll probably find this site first and when they see what kind of wasteland it has become it will probably chase them off.

This was explained almost 3 years ago somewhere else but irrelevant to share publicly I guess because nothing was officially announced about it (like with other projects they were/are working on.)

I really hope so, but I have this dread that with a new management we'll get deluxe editions with contemporary artist remixing or even worse adding there voice or whatever to classic tracks or even outtakes. I really don't want to buy a Purple Rain SDE with Justin Timberlake or Jay-Z or lil Wayne or whoever idiot rapping or singing on some Darling Nikki or I would Die 4 U version or Katie Perry or Lady Gaga autotuning along to Take Me with U.

Yes good point. Many of us were complaining about the previous SDEs and one-off releases anyway. I do admit that I felt that the releases up until now kind of just appreared or were just announced - that's not a complaint on my part because I've loved everyting so far released but I never felt like there was any formalization of the catalogue. Maybe the Estate is getting its act together now and reconfiguring itself. I hope so anyway.
