DELAYED: Do Me, Baby (Demo) - Exclusive Limited Edition 7" Purple Vinyl

In checking the status of my order on the Prince Store, it appears this release has now been delayed until April.

I haven't received an email update regarding this delay, but I'm a bit disappointed that such a delay is coming just days before it was supposed to ship on 7 February.

Now you see how hard it is to get one vinyl released, even for just one side of a 7'!
Nearly 6 months.
Try to imagine what it is for a 13 LP SDE.

No, that thread is about the cassettes SHIPPING. This thread is about the vinyl being DELAYED 2 months but (so far) without any formal announcement from the Prince Store.

Talk about a waste of hard to find wax .. should do a vinyl double a side single of Lust u and extralovable .. much better than this tame demo and would easily sell more and at a higher price .. even if it was edited

Prince Store finally sent an email update:

Thank you for ordering the "Do Me, Baby (Demo)" - Exclusive Limited Edition 7" Purple Vinyl from the Official Prince Store.

Due to supply chain and manufacturing delays that are unfortunately outside our direct control, the 7" vinyl is expected to ship in late March. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your support.

We will send an email confirmation once your order has shipped.

I didn't get a fucking update. I had to go log in with my exact order number only to find the date had been changed to April Fool's Day.

Of course, my cassette and t-shirt is also being held back even though it is only the 7" that is delayed. mad

This tame demo is better than the bloated and overblown version on the record. By a million miles.

How long was Prince's, 7" or 12". When erect I mean?


The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

This is absolute madness; why is The Estate promising Syracuse sets with 3 LPs when they still can't get a single 7" vinyl released that was supposed to be due in February.

It's a pre-order for the 3LP set so expect it around Christmas time...... next year.
