Chuck Eddy: The Rain is better than Kiss. The Prince hater critic once wrote that the Rain by Oran Juice Jones is far better than Kiss. He didn't put Parade in his top 150. He could be right. The Rain is an amazing song. Kiss is great, but is it that great? You know my stand on Parade. I'll tell U what the Eye in the Pimp stand 4! |

I have no clue or care for your stance on Parade. Comparing the 2 songs is pointless. Kiss is a masterpiece. The Rain is more comedy relief than anything. Raz P Berry did a great spoof on SNL 30+ years later.

What the hell? Why even compare the 2 tracks? They don't sound similar at all

. - Kiss is such a great song that I heard several covers in different genres, and they all sound cool. From Tony De Sare to Giorgia. The melody is strong, unlike some other Prince songs. And the original record doesnt sound dated too. |
