Enjoyed that! Maybe too overtly inspired by Curtis Mayfield, but still has a funky purple twist on it.

I clicked on BBC Sounds and thinking I was too late to hear it live. For a couple of seconds I thought, "Oh, they're playing a Curtis Mayfield song." And then I realised.

I like it.

I have a somewhat lukewarm feelto it. It was solemn,mellow and Princeinstory-mode. I like the cuddlesof jazz here and there however...excitement is missing in his voice in the last two releases of this album. I hope there is something on it that will jam, I admit working an overnight i yawned half way in. Need a single that will pick-me-up. Anyway. Maybe it will fit within the context of the album, but I give it a 2.7/5
