I don't know when it first leaked but when I first started to get into Prince music my ex gave me a ton of unreleased Prince songs and that was one of them. Sounds damn near perfect too. A lot clearer than Lust U Always. A quick search on YouTube will bring up a few decent results too. They don't sound as good as the version I have but are still decent enough.

Ever since "In A Large Room..." was released last year, this song has now become my holy grail. As much as I like the version released on Originals, I was super disappointed that it wasn't this 1986 version. It's probably my all time favorite Prince song, if I'm forced to choose.

I just listened to all the versions I can find on YouTube - there are varying levels of not great sound quality. Nothing I would call 'decent' though.

Because it's in awful quality everywhere. Nothing decent. Just getting shades of turd. Many folks on the org have those bootleg ears that filter out garbage that casual listeners do not. Desperate times call for desperate earholes

I do understand that condition. I have listened to the '82 Extraloveable probably as much as any song in the last decade. The sheer brilliance of the song lets me filter out the bad stuff and add in what's missing.

Until I play it to a non-fan, and then realise the lack of Prince-fan-filter means it is hurting their ears.
