From what i heard....among big collectors.....a slyghty different version is circulating not among puplic fans like us ......different solo parts & some instrument variations .... nevertheless not sure about different vocal takes ?

When Electric Intercourse was released, my first reaction was: why "studio version" is mentioned? Because the Estate is aware that First Avenue is bootlegged (thanks for the soundboard circulating) or they're willing 2 release it?

I had the very same thought. If we could get a pristine version of the 1st ave performance I would be happy, however I wonder if Prince made a studio version thats a bit closer to that performance. For example, a couple other boot versions circulating from soundboard rehearsals are much closer to 1st ave performance than what was released.

That is Brenda at the end -- and actually throughout the entire song along with Prince. It's uncanny how similar their voices can sound.

I'll add my name to the list of people agreeing with you.

If you'd asked me this a few years ago I might not have agreed. There were a number of bootlegs I'd heard in very poor quality that I was desperate to find higher quality copies. But over the years I ended up getting good copies of those songs either from the estate releasing them or by finding higher quality bootlegs.

Does anyone know if the extended version (around 11 minutes) of "Revelation" that was played live has a studio equivalent? If so, I want that!

I'd also like to hear any Jill version that may exist; I usually find Jill's vocal takes a little too "extra" for my liking, but I think her vocal theatrics would suit Sugar Walls quite well.

This would have to be a single vinyl release or digital release. The song lyrics are extremely problematic and would destroy sales if it was a part of a bigger package.
