How did Prince trigger the sample? did he have a virtual dj mixing board on his mac?Cause the lenght of samples was different,sometimes he would do a full song,sometime only a snippet ,often interplating 2 different songs

Since 1986, prince was using synthesizer/keyboard workstations built into fake piano shells cause we all know he loved to dance in them and it would knock them out of tune or damage them. For the sampler set, he was triggering samples from that workstation. Of course he had the real samples without vocals etc.

thanx but how was he interpolating songs?During When Doves Cry you would hear vocal samples from Alphabet Street or Hot Thing than some scratching parts like he had a virtual dj board
