I don't think Prince was particualrly "promiscous", especially when compared to other Alplha Male Rock Stars of the Era. He usuallyu had a #1 Girldriend and was known to periodically have other relationships at the same time...but he wasn't a huge slut or anything. He was too much of a work a holic!!

He probably had quite a few one-nighters over the years, though.

I still don't believe that Prince f****d as much as some people think he did. F*****g is good and fun, but i think Prince was into the love/romance thing to a high degree. There's some people out there who are REALLY nasty, and who bone any and everything.

I agree on that.

Prince was not only a great romantic, he adored and respected just about all women.

He even somehow dressed like them.

And songs like "If I Was Ur Girlfriend", "Adore'', "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World", amongst so many others, says it all.

Wasn't there one of his girlfriends who said openly that Prince above all wanted to talk and be together instead of a nasty play between the sheets ?

Another thing.

Fact is (iirc), in his 40+years career, we never heard some fuss, no excesses, no abuse, in fact no complaints whatsoever from his bed partners, wives, fiancés or casual fucks.

Not even a Billy Jean story, no stalking, no misogynistic statements, nothing... except for Billy Jack Bitch, but that was another story.

I think that says a lot about his correct behavior and position towards women in general.

But, do we know it all ? This is all a (personal) assumption of course.

Now here's something I can agree with. It certainly is a strange way to think.

If one is to believe Robin Power,(a friend w/benefits in Grafitti Br.), circa Kim Basinger/Anna Garcia time period, there were lots and lots...
