I don't get it. D&P and prince are far better than Dirty Mind and Controversy. I mean, it isn't remotely close!

A 90’s albums that sounds better and better to me each and every year is Chaos and Disorder.
The tittle track, Into the light, I Will, Dinner With Delores, Zanalee. All great tracks that have only gotten better with time

Yeah same. Listen to his albums in order and it's a breath of fresh air as well.

Look, I never go back and listen to Graffiti Bridge, Diamonds & Pearls, or prince.

But orgers still jump down my throat when I say that. hmmm

I simply prefer his output for the remainder of the decade: Come, The Black Album (don't care about the technicality since this one is always skipped over in 80s discussion), The Gold Experience, Girl 6, EMANCIPATION (!!!), Crystal Ball.

BECAUSE he lost his sound fuckin round with lisa & wendy with them orchestra sounds and horns and shit...then he added rap to that fucked up gumbo and it was a terrible dish ...prince last great album was SOTT....

Well, you act like one. Pretty ignorant and pathetic worldview you have for a senior citizen.
Obviously wisdom doesn't come with age in your case.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Blondies1973

It’s a mixed bag in my view. I’m maybe less of a fanatic than some, but here’s how I would rate the 90s.

Graffiti Bridge 6/10
(Uneven and feels a bit haphazard, but with gems like Elephants and Flowers)

Diamonds and Pearls 8/10
(A new beginning. Gett Off is up there with his very best floor-fillers. And I’ve still not heard something like Thunder before or since.)

Symbol 6/10
(Uneven with even worse lows than GB. But it does have Sexy MF)

Come 6/10
(A bit dull on the whole, but some enjoyable songs like Space)

Gold Experience 8/10
(I love P Control. So shoot me.)

Chaos and Disorder 5/10
(Not convinced by the rock pose here.)

Emancipation 7/10
(Could be one of his best albums if cut down to one cd. But Jam of the year, to take one ex, is just too polished)

The Truth 8/10
(I didn’t really listen properly until recently, but Loved it when I did. Prince is a serious bluesman.)

The Vault 6/10
(Once again I feel his heart is not in it)

Rave un2... 5/10
(A bit desperate to catch up with the trends, if I’m honest)

The real reason why people don’t like Prince’s 90’s albums (after Symbol) is that there’s no Tony M on them. Brother misses him baaad on there!!

Imagine Tony’s smooth flow trippin’ over The Gold Experience or especially The Truth!! Tony woulda saved P’s ass right there!! And don’t talk to me about no Crystal Ball!! Crying out for the Tony touch!! cool

He sho nuff woulda saved that sorry ass Kamasutra!!

People just don’t know what they got till it’s gone!!

I should make clear that I'm not joking one bit.

Come, Chaos and Disorder and The Truth are the only ones I think are worthy Prince albums.
