the lists you read in popular magazines are a lot of bullshit... agents for artists like to put inflated estimated figures for their clients on the lists because it boosts their popularity and stature.
There was an article that explained how most of the times the figures are just based on what a promoter says word of mouth... the only one who really knows the true figures are the IRS, and even they get scammed. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

don't believe everything you read. also, isnt it weird that prince would use clear channel, then insult radio companies constantly? i know he is quite contradictory but i dont htink that much surely!
He is. He defintly used Clear Channel and blackballed them on stage. Just like he took WB's money and then blackballed them everywhere he went too. Just watch: the next time he will take the fan's money again and blackball them in the club or on stage too.

Clear Channel owns a lot of small venues and arenas. If Prince wants to perform in the better venues in major American cities he will have to work with Clear Channel. However, just because you work for or with someone does not mean you have to be in love with them or see thing their way. As long as Prince sells out those Clear Channel venues I doubt they care what he has to say from the stage. In addition, as a music fan who the hell cares about Clear Channel being badmouthed.

1. Opening up the vaults 2. Releasing all of his classic albums, remastered with added tracks 3. Striking a new deal with Warner and having his old videos released for sale on DVD. 4. Releasing quality copies of "Sign O The Times" and "Lovesexy" tour for sale on DVD. 5. Not putting limits on who can sample his music. 6. Licensing his songs for use in ads (Chevy is the only one I can think of thus far) 7. Desperately looking for a record deal with a major label. 8. Trying to reunite the Revolution for a tour. 9. Releasing his own clothing line and/or making appearances on the Home Shopping network. 10. Selling his home videos to Fox Ok 9 and 10 are tongue in cheek but 1-8 would all be real money makers for P. The fact that he is not actively pursuing these cash cows leads me to believe he is just fine in the pocket book. --- All great points. If Prince were hurting for cash he would be out doing things to earn more money. If he lives a modest life style he should be able to live off of his royalties.
