And to help out those that aren't familiar with how to do it:

1)Download and install audacity.

2)In Audacity go to File, then Open and select the song.

3)Go to Select, select All

4)Go to Effect, select Reverse

5)Go to File, select Export and pick which file format you want.

They should have released the Shep Pettibone remix as like a one-off single in promotion or something... because I'm glad listening to it..... still just rather have another vault track in place, but I'm really digging this remix

I've only heard it once but I thought I noticed new/different Prince guitar riffs, vocals and ad-libs. I don't think it's just a Shep Pettibone remix. I think Prince added new stuff to it also.

CD version sold out? I don't think so...By the way I went 2Night to a Wrecka Stow, and someone who asked for the set, was told that they couldn't sell it b4 2morrow (otherwise they could have a fine for selling it before the official date).

I'd agree with you if it weren't for the fact that you can't get the SDE version of "1999" in the U.S. anymore.

I went through the whole set today in a chronological way. 8 hours of delight! First impression is of course very positive. My favorites: "The Cocoa Boys", "All My Dreams", "Strange Relationship" (not much the mix) & many more...So happy. Ready now for the concert @ PP.

Can't wait 2 get my Japansese (which is in fact made in Europe but with OBI & additional booklet) CD version.

If I had to guess, you probably will be able to get a copy with ease in these initial couple weeks but wouldn't wait too long to get one.

Big price increase today for the vinyl at Amazon Canada. I will pay $308.03. The price right now is $391.65.

By the way not only is this album not brickwalled, the SOTT album has a dynamic range average of 13. That makes it one of the best cases of dynamic range I have seen with any commercial non-audiophile label remaster of any album

Prince, after disbanding The Revolution, removed traces of W&L from the SOTT songs as much as he could.

He wanted it to appear as a Prince album.

And now we release SOTT SDE as Prince's stuff but with loads and loads of Revolution input in the extra songs.

I did not yet receive the physical release but I'll check how much attention is paid to this detail.

I think you don't realize that this is a SDE. These EXTRA tracks are there because they're alternate versions of the released tracks and as it was explained they aparently won't release the original albums SOTT is based on so they put those tracks on here. pretty simple concept.

It's the same DNR as other issues of SOTT.
