I downloaded a digital version from iTunes this morning, but I'm impatient to get my hands on a physical copy as well. Amazon is telling me I won't get my pre-order until next week. I checked with Barnes and Noble. Several shops in my area each got a single copy to sell, but they're already sold on reserved, so there's no where for me to buy it. I'll have to wait for Amazon to deliver a copy next week.

Amazon UK are weird. Both of my sets said 30th September but I got an e-mail this morning that the CD set had been dispatched and I got that this afternoon. Still having to wait another 5 days for the vinyl though.

Just got mine. Wow its going to take 3 days to get through all of this. Listened to some of Disc 1 and noticed they mastered the CD really loud but sound quality is good. Its going to be a great weekend listening to this. I still have the original vinyl I bought 33 years ago March 1987

i said it before, my 14 year old self would have had a HUGE, JOYOUS, TEARY-EYED WTF moment for this release!!!

But, now, it's just fluff.

Nice packaging, though

I kind of expected more outcry today.... speed issues on every track of the live set, multiple lossy sources for Vault tracks, usual Frankensteining hijinks... hm.

So my deluxe boxed CD version arrived today!! I haven't had a chance to listen to anything yet. The set looks amazing and the pictures are stellar. My one complaint is that the 'book' has been inserted/glued upside down! So if I want to read the book I have to be very, very careful that none of the discs fall out. Anyone else have this problem? Surely I can't be the only one.....

Ive bought one for my wifes birthday (tomorrow) and want to check its the CD version rather than the vinyl version without opening it?

My CD version of this SOTT SDE is around 4.5 CM I think.

I.e.: less than 2.5".

The booklet thing makes it kinda heavy though.

The CD's are in the back of the book.

So literally it is not music first.

Who designed this thing?

It is wrong on so many levels.

The unboxings around the net for the vinyl make it seem egregiously/definitely/very heavy vs. "suspiciously" heavy. Like a "whoah, that's heavy" when they grab it.. it is a hardcover book and some sites had an oversize weight charge for the CD so I'd imagine the CD version's got some moderate weight to it, too.
