I too liked the NC2U video. It wasn't a flashy video but it showed Prince doing what we normally don't see - him doing his work other than being on a stage or on record. It was a glimpse behond the curtain. That footage has been in circulation already but maybe it was the Estate laying claim to it instead of it rambling around YT.

The problem, in my opinion, is not the footages, it's the way it's edited over unrelated music in a way that makes Prince look pretty ridiculous. The way it's done creates a sort of uncanny valley feeling for me. Should they release these rehearsal tapes as they are, I'd think it's fantastic, by all means release it all!!

But there I'm sorry, I find it truly insulting to P's memory. Of course this is just a matter of personal opinion and sensibility, but I sure hope they'll never do that again.

There isn't a set rule as tracks can be issued whenever people want to.

However, labels that play the chart game release on Friday as it gives a full week of sales/streams for when compiling the weekly chart.

Yet that means for many people in the world it becomes Thursday.

So, to combat the time difference, when many releases are issued in Australia/New Zealand on Friday, it is in fact Thursday in many other places.

Many Prince digital releases have been on Thursday and with a VPN you can grab them around late morning or lunchtime.
