Lesser known Prince songs that would appeal to casual fans

I am a die hard fan Prince myself (like most on this forum) but i was wondering how many lesser known Prince songs would appeal to casual fans or people who aren't familiar with Prince's work

My picks:

Love Sign- catchy chorus

I wonder- ditto, this should have been released on the radio

All day all night- like the above

I'm Yours- i love the melody here, has the real potential to be a smash pop hit

The Undertaker session.....whether it´s the whole video or just the audio, most of my non-Prince fan friends are always surprised and amazed to hear it and can´t believe it´s Prince. With just Mike B. and Sonny T. wink

.

Open Book....many friends who´ve heard this song like it immediately.

.

Power Fantastic.

.

She´s Always In My Hair.

One that jumps to mind is "So Far, So Pleased". It feels like a lost hit.

I Feel For You - wasn't known it was a P song until Chaka, but most casual fans still haven't heard the original, most likely.
Nothing Compares 2 U - The Family cuz - we know.
She's Always In My Hair - catchy
17 Days - it's the other b-side that should've made it to a-side status on radio like "Erotic City" did.
How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore - see above
Strange Relationship - should've been a single anyway
Anna Stasia - the next "Purple Rain" or "The Ladder"
Free - see above
Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad

Crazy You - yacht rock goodness

Just trying to think of the ones that helped to turn *me* from a casual into a hardcore fan:

Lust U Always (problematic lyrically obviously, but so mega-catchy)

Shockadelica

The Max

Pink Cashmere

Pope

Power Fantastic

Come (Beautiful Experience version)

Love Sign

Shhh

Joint 2 Joint

Interactive

Get on the Boat

Clouds

Gold Standard

Like a Mack

1000 X's & O's

Xtralovable

Groovy Potential

I haven't bothered listing much pre-Love Symbol stuff, as I think (unpopular opinion alert) almost all of the Prince songs before then that most casual fans would be hooked by were hits, TBH.

I always thought "The One U Wanna C" would have been a huge hit if released and slightly remixed. Maybe as a duet with Sherryl Crow...

As much as I love Shockadelica, I don't think would appeal to casual listeners, it would sound weird.

I always felt that Blue Light would have been a great pick for a single and would have had mass appeal with a radio audience and definitely casual fans.

Yeah, I was a bit less sure about that one. It was one of the first '80s B-sides I was properly into though, lol.

I don't think any of the ones I listed are truly really known and heard enough by casual fans. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

As a former casual fan, these were some lesser-known songs that bridged the gap:

Crazy You

My Love is Forever

She's Always in my Hair

Money Don't Matter 2 Night

Head

If I Was Your Girlfriend

Gigolos Get Lonely Too

Erotic City

17 Days

DMSR

When We're Dancing Close and Slow

1000 Xs and Os

Breakfast Can Wait

I like your list except for Pink Cashmere, lol. A lot of fans like that song, it just never really appealed to me. Wonderful A$$ would have been a huge hit.
