If One Nite Alone was able to be manufactured and released last month just fine, I don't see a SOTT release being delayed that far into the future. Plenty of new albums have either been released since March or announced since March for relatively soon releases so I am hopeful we will see it sooner (this year) rather than later - just based on my own educated guess with what limited info we have

It seems to frustrate alot of fans that when Howe et all anounced that they wouldn't ever release unfinished work or tamper with material, they turn around and do exactly that and even release unfinished versions (like Baby, you're a trip for example) of released versions, instead of Prince's real finished version that he gave to Jill Jones on tape before she recorded any vocals for the track that were for her version.
Or pretend that Noon Rendezvous on Originals was the finished Prince version when the drumtrack can clearly be heard in the background.

I'm sure it will come out around the same time. Probably a little later than the release. I'm sure he is working on the liner notes for the new set like he did with the 1999 set. I have a feeling he is very involved with this release and his book as a combined project.

They lose the rights to it next year.
