The Staples Center Show from March 29 was broadcast live in cinemas. Soundboard boots are out there. IIRC, it had the acoustic set.

I think there might also have been an MTV/VH1 special that included one of the acoustic sets.

The problem is obvious: the crowd is missing, or is a very faint,

When it comes to live recordings, I think you're better
off with VG+, EX quality audience recordings.
Feeling like you're part of the experience changes everything,
you don't get trapped in front of monitors in some mobile truck.

Look for "Shark Tank", a Musicology Tour recording in San Jose, CA.
It has one of the most inspired acoustic sets ("Adore" and "Alphabet St."
aren't that great, but only because everything else in the set is exceptional).

The crowd reactions, the whole recording is phenomenal
in terms of dynamics, and has to be blasted at 11.
The emotional apex is a short and suprising
"Hit The Road, Jack" destined to Bush Jr.,
coming at the end of "Dear Mr. Man".

The whole concert is a great postcard of the Musicology Tour.
It's one of, if not the very best audience recording of it.

Just listened to Shark Tank. Thanks for the info. You are right - the sound plus the backround audience response is great. Really nice show.

SHIT!! I never kenw this. So that's where the pro-shot bootleg comes from!! I always wondered what to do with such stuff, like this and the various studio tracks played to the audience at concerts or in clubs. Should they be considered official material to be listed on my website since, after all, they were meant to be seen. I finally decided against it because they were not made to be possibly recorded straight from the source like a radio/TV broadcast or a stream, they were meant to be enjoyed once and only once to a very select crowd, and adding them would then imply I could just as well include each and every live show ever made, which wouldn't make much sense. I even wondered whether I should include the 4 theatre movies on their theatre release date or home video release date, since after all one could only acquire them on home video release date. I finally decided to use the theatre release date since they were always meant to be released on home video later, but that's a tough one really. Same problem BTW with the few promos that were sent to record stores to be played to the customers. I included them but IDK if I should have, and now I realize that if I was to include them, then I should include the 10,000 Wallpaper tape, which I haven't. Headaches, headaches, more headaches...
