It was a far better tribute than any other that’s been done. Watching it helped my decision to not watch the Grammy tribute. Questloves library and his knowledge spotlighted princes brilliance. 63 times god lord

This! I didn't even check it out since I knew Questlove wouldn't be able to help himself. I could deal with an intro or outro commentary or even an intermission. But yeah, no... super annoying.

- don't know if he opined that but it sure would be cool - indeed best tribute ever tbh - I put it through audacity, and have it. gonna keep that to listen to in my studio. - THANK YOU BART. if you didn't put this up, I would've missed it. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. Good gawd! That was some serious jamming last night! Hoping for a 5th night.

Questlove said he had the Studio version of Drawers Burnin'.
Gives me hope that we will one day get a release of it. I've always loved that song, even though the quality is not great. [Edited 4/20/20 10:23am]

All this 4th night did is make me despair at the lack of a larger set of live releases! The Estate could take all of my money...simple.

What a public service Questlove has done by doing this. It's beautiful when you think of all the new people being turned on to his live stuff and deep cuts as well as us fans just digging in with him.

. Ah yes, let's whine about the Estate not having done in four years what Prince failed to do for 35 years. © Bart Van Hemelen

Not a whine - just a despair - and Prince can't take my money now, though he could quite happily had done so. Just a wail into the void that's all, nothing more, nothing less. * Tell you what though...This has made me revise my appreciation of The Revolution as a band. I never saw them live, I only ever saw Prince paly with the NPG, live. Now - they were a fantastic band, but, my lord, this Revolution are pretty spectacular. See, this is where Prince, WBros etc missed the boat - for whatever reason. A couple of live albums showcasing this talent would not have gone amiss. * I feel kinda special now. Bart had a go at me! I'm sure there's a badge I'm owed, yes? [Edited 4/20/20 12:25pm]

Ive tuned in all four days. Pretty amazing.
Last night all the Revolution except for Brownmark were commenting. I love how there are different times where one them would ask "Wait was this us?" and us fans would say no/yes and would give dates/locations. Just seeing former associates was a dope thing to see. Also Jimmy Jam was dropping knowledge, St. Paul, Ruth (assistant) Sussanah, Mayte. Pretty amazing.
Hilarious how lemon cake became an inside a joke in the comments all four days. Even some associated partook. I know Wendy had a good time laughing at one last night. She was asking if a song had Sheila on drums and someone commented no this was before Sheila started baking. Wendy was rolling [Edited 4/20/20 13:04pm] "You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

Yeah, that was really cool. Many of them were on there all 4 nights. Chaka Khan was also there last night. Mono Neon, Nik West, Taja Sevelle the night before...
At one point last night there was an insane percussion part and his former ass't Ruth said, 'That was Lemon Cake,' or something like that. lol. She had some really funny comments.
The part where Questlove explains how Prince, at the '85 Worcester show, was purposely trying to confuse the Revolution, and the subsequent audio examples playing for us right before our ears were really interesting, too. What a treat this was for us Prince nerds

The Lemon Cake snickerdoodles had me my sides aching from laughing so much. All of the nights were really awesome and very much needed. I honestly feel like I've had a Princefusion, so to speak. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

- Covid-19 HEAEVEN ya'll !!!!!! - QUESTLOVE's SLOW JAMS, nearly 3 & 1/2 hours... ...and (forgotten) live stuff that gains my appreciation back again. - Come to realise again, that... THERE'S JUST SOOOOOOOO MUCH PRINCE STUFF !!! UNKNOWN TO US ! - And at the same time, aren't we all spolied to death ?! I mean, poor MJ fans or Justin T fans, or whatever fans out there. Even Beatles fans can't listen to so-much-&-more-&-inexhaustible stuff than we do. - I need 9 lives. - Also makes me realise that The Estate or whomever is in charge, will never ever be able to release it all. Not even a quarter of it the next in 25 years time. Even if they put out é to 3 boxsets of mutiple stuff every year, they wouldn't be able to make it up to the next 25 years or longer. Think about that. - ...not even talking about all the rehearsals, video's, protégées, related unreleased stuff... TV shows, guest appearances, movies, writings, idea's, notes, toiletpaper, candy wraps... ah man... - This makes me positively depressed, knowing I won't live long enough to hear and see all the stuff our little purple dude has gathered in 40 years. - DO U ALL realise this ?! -

. We've been saying this for DECADES. But we were called naysayers etc. and were told that "Prince knows best" etc. . Meanwhile bootleggers were laughing all the way to the bank. .
