It starts tonight (16 April), and considering a typical DJ set is four hours, that mean's he'll play 16 hours of Prince.

Don't get too hyped for unheard gems.He mentioned that he had to get approval from the estate so I wouldn't expect anything too rare.

He's already dropped a few rarities so I expect a bunch over the next four nights.

I think he won't be able to resist dropping in some unreleased stuff if it's over four nights. He did so on the Stevie one.

He's been doing those Prince parties, so I would expect it's going to whatever playlists he's using there. How deep do those cuts get?

He played at least one Prince rarity, a live track of "All the Critics Love you in NY" during his attic DJ stream..... he changed the speed/pitch lower, added in effects..it took half the song for people to realize it was actually a Prince recording and not a cover. It was something circulating.

Also he's playing a lot of these songs in full, pulling them back, talking about them....so that's partly how he's filling up four hours.

I don't see why not. He's also talking and dropping effects over most of the songs at this point, so it's not like anyone is going to treat these like normal dj sets.

My interest is in his stories, although him stopping or filtering the music to talk over it is gong to piss off people.

That was an education. Love the stories he tells. It's truly frightening / awe inspiring as to how much music P created & in so many styles. You seriously can't compare anyone to him.

I love how he gave insight to the abrupt fade in to the ending of I Don't Wanna Leave You song by The Time... I always knew there was a mistake and I remember posting a thread or a post about it a few years back but many orgers said there was no mistake in the song, etc...

So last night he said Jesse told him that was supposed to be the intro to the Make Up Remix but he put it on the same reel of I Don't Wanna Leave You by mistake.
