Your logic: what happened in the past MUST happen in the future. Do you even know how dumb this sounds? Answer this question first before you do anything else. I can already tell you like to deflect.

Hey, cut the chitchat and let s make a deal : if 1999 deluxe is released this year, I will disappear from the org eternally.
.
If it's not released this year, you go.
.
Deal?
.

I. Can’t. Even. Keep evading the question. Please. It’s making me laugh. Every time.

The new article by Jon Bream about the change in management of Paisley Park includes this blurb, suggesting that 1999 Deluxe will indeed be released this year:

“Warner Bros., Prince’s original label, and Sony, via a new deal with the estate, have reissued several of his albums — including a deluxe version of “Purple Rain” with a deluxe “1999” due this year — as well as two new collections, “Piano & a Microphone 1983,” featuring some work tapes, and “Originals,” Prince’s versions of tunes he wrote for the Time, Sheila E, the Bangles and others.”

https://lmtribune.com/nat...a8769.html

Of course, until there is an official announcement, I won’t be 100% convinced, but it’s more evidence in favor of a release this year.

Between the reissues of chaos/Rave/Versace/Emancipation/musicology/3121/Planet and the Originals release. Would they flood the market again? I hope they do. Because I'm buying that 1999 delux.

I would not mind one bit if they actually released 7 unknown albums at once lol

come on, we're long time prince fans, we can handle a massive amount of tunes
coming our way.

just give us a huge boxset with 100 + songs or a set of unreleased album all at
once.

we need something to keep us entertained while they're sorting through the many
many many songs, albums, concerts, videos, rehearsals, live shows etc etc etc.

1999 Deluxe will be a nice start, but we actually need much, much more. smile

I find that artwork even less tasteful.

Also, I don’t know what you’re expecting with a screen name like ShlomoThaHomo. shrug

Ok this is great BUT... It is absolutely unexcuseable to NOT include EXTRALOVEABLE on the 1999 Deluxe.

But I guess the estate doesn't want any drama with the RAPE lyrics in this day and age especially with the Me Too movement going on.

Looks like The Voilet Reality was right again.

Honestly, this release is beyond any expectation, it is so good you almost think it has to be fake, cannot describe how happy it makes me to see so much in this set, it gives me great hope for future sets.

Would have loved to have seen the Jerk Out and Lust U Always on there as tvr reported, but that's ok, this set is surprisingly thorough and well laid out.

Now we just gotta cross our fingers that the guy who drowned Originals with his PHD in reverb, didn't do the same to all of thses tracks.
