Are you trying to parse some difference between subjectivity and objectivity? If so, how can anyone possibly come up with an objective way to assign quality to music?

Personally, I don't subscribe to that theory. What is "best" for one person is different from what is "best" to someone else, as it should be. Nobody is going to come up with a fool-proof way of objectively rating music.

I've got a lot of love for the hits. I've also got a lot of love for songs that weren't hits, too. It doesn't make my list any more or any less valid than anybody else's list.
