As for tributes, I especially dislike Purple Rain ones. Musicians who want to honour Prince have the platform and opportunity to turn their fans on to his music. Yes, Purple Rain is probably his most recognised song but if they chose a lesser known one it may interest people to explore further in to his huge catalogue which I think would be more of a tribute.

IMO people need to lay off Purple Rain 'cause Prince was and is so much more than that and no one can do it justice.

Well, yeah... Eric was madly in love with Patti Boyd, George’s wife, and he slept with her and later ended up marrying her. However,George cheated on her constantly during the marriage. * Hey, we got a couple of great songs from Eric out of that mess - Layla and You Look Wonderful Tonight.
