Technically, Nothing Compares 2 U is the first single.

I'd guess if they do the same style of single releases as Purple Rain Deluxe, we'll get something upbeat like The Glamorous Life and something unreleased like You’re My Love

That's the masterpiece. Might work on AC and Urban AC formats but until I hear all the tracks I can't guess. "You're My Love" perhaps. I can't imaging them releasing any of the most well known cuts ("Jugle Love", "Manic Monday")

You know I was thinking I wished they had done like the MJ estate did with the deluxe edition of Michael's "Xscape". Have producers fill the tracks out to be less demo-like but include the demos as bonus tracks. Oh well. Less people they have to pay more profit for them.

I'm a purist for hearing how things were left according to the 'artist's vision' and I'm still not a big fan of the principle of this modern-remixes-of-old-work thing... bbbbuuuutttt the ones on Xscape were actually reasonably well done, and it all sounded fairly coherent as a whole album.

As for the single, I'm expecting Manic Monday. Easily the most marketable choice, surely.

If the "Originals" version of "Manic Monday" is the same or similar to the unreleased duet we already have I'm not sure it would be a great choice as a single.... musically it is a bit "sloppy" (it could be for the actual sound quality of what we have, to be fair, but I'm not convinced...)

If the "Originals" version of "Manic Monday" is a later P version more similar to the released Bangles version (that as we know retains a great musci percentage of P rendition), I could agree it would be a great 2nd single.

Anyway, I'm in for "Love...Thy Will Be Done" as the better choice.

if there's a single it will likely be exclusive to Tidal for the first 2 weeks, just like the album, no?
