ISLIJAG mentioned a podcast a couple of times, and given some directions the discussion here has taken, I'm moved to link to podcasts.

I'm very sure that you're the type of guy that women have absolutely no desire to "deal with" either, and are thrilled to leave alone, as I'm sure you probably are.

Yeah, that's probably why he's so angry with women, they can spot him a mile away.

True, women do know assholes when they see them.

i'd suppose you're a woman. women seem to be the first to say things like that, older women, women past their own primes who aren't much fun to be around in the first place. I read the article but saw her agenda when she used words like "grooming" in it, i doubt she was any kind of fan to begin with and just an oppurtunistic journalist. I won't get into the rights or wrongs from a moral perspective but young women of the age that Prince was meeting these girls have always been the age that men preferred to seek in women, even when they got older. Ever wonder why? Ever think maybe nature has something to do with it? No one wants to hurt their social standing but in most cases, whenever a man can do it, he gets jailbait or not far from it, the examples are endless. And in different times and even now in different parts of the world people wouldn't be using those phoney ass phrases like 'grooming". Women in this country are molly coddled, overprotected and have a million terms to play victim. It's why some of us men really don't want to deal with any of you any more. "me too" "harassment", "grooming" "victim/slut shaming" just shuttup already and go home to that pussywhipped man you beat into submission and leave the rest of us alone. Jesus Christ dude... you really are a piece of work. A misogynistic piece of work. Don't be surprised if you don't find any friends or partners while going through life with that attitude.

WowPeteWow. Makes for a popcorn thread, but pieced together with your posts in other threads, it is a little scary. R U maximising or minimising or WTF? "if you can't clap on the one, then don't clap at all"

I'm guessing that means you're old and like 19 year olds whom are much younger? Assuming you're a guy, if you have a daughter, how would you feel about someone your age lusting after her?

nope, single by choice, i learned from the mistakes of others, i don't see too many happy men in long time relationships, they're stuck though and they are weak willed from what i garner. Don't want or need that kind of "love". I'm a musician anyways, and no one comes between me and that, just like Prince actually was, the women were never his real central loves.

personal opinion about bullying is that the recent push is a joke. Of course we have bullies and I don't like bullies. With that out of the way I believe we are being socially conditioned to be more and more passive and inable to handle things ourselves. by snitching on a bully the young are socially conditioned to rely more and more on the authoritarian powers whatever they are. So, should bullies be handled that way? I like the old way better, you sock that bully as hard as you can so you learn to protect yourself and most bullies learn that they aren't that tough.
Moreover, "bullying" itself is a joke, anytime you let a boss manipulate you into getting up early, threatening to fire you, or a teacher puts pressure on you to get your work done it could be called "bullying" but it's more socially constructive so no one thinks of it that way. Personally, i've never taken bullying from anyone, I hate being in positions where i have to be passive and while it's made my life harder, I can't really see any other way for me. Every job i've ever had has involved even the threat of some kind of physical intimidation, i know that's not a norm, in the white collar world that it frowned upon but even there, the intimation is the same "if you don't do what i want, I will hurt you", same difference.
It's amazing how people don't see or think about the things right under their noses and just repeat like sheep "ya, bullying, yup, yup" "ya, harassment, me too, ya ya". They deserve what they get because they don't think.

that's right, charlie chaplin married a teen when he was 54, crazy but I actually think she might have been the love of his life. Personally, i don't see the attraction beyond just the aesthetic, I've never talked to that young of a woman and not seen that she was nothing more than a 12 year old with boobs, a major turnoff. but if that's what they like, let em have it. times may have changed too, kids today are totally different than they were, i watch ww2 vids and i couldn't imagine too many of the young people being capable of enduring hardships like our boys did then, they'd lay down in the mud with their green hair and cry for their mommies.

Idk how some people delude themselves into thinking they are free-thinking alpha males, when they're really just creepy old guys who talk down to everyone and think it's "natural" to want to sleep with teen girls

that's exactly what it is, delusion and ego. Men like the celebrities we see who do that are doing it because they can and it's available. Celebrity and/or power bring out the worst in man. I've seen many much more limited in their 'power" actually think people were doing their bidding because of "them" not it's because they can use you you idiot.

like i said, the examples are endless, as the article mentioned, Marvin and Janis, and we could go to Elvis and priscilla, Jerry lee and Myrna, on and on and on until the break of dawn. It's become less acceptable with time, I remember being mildly shocked when my ma told me she was only 17 when she met my 37 year old dad, and she said this after I saw something on tv that made me say "hey, he's too old for her". different generations think different, different geographies do too.

now that you went and said it, these other folks are thinking 'that wouldn't be a bad thing". i was't born until my mom was 22 though and i don't know how long it really took my parents to really decide on marriage, i never asked them and they are both gone, neither was happy with the other though or with life. I learned a lot just watching everyone in my life.

The BGN article should of never been given the green light. The fact Anna responded whilst mayte remained silent has not gone unnoticed btw. [Edited 1/23/19 6:08am] "So much has been written about me, & people don't know what's right & what's wrong. I'd rather let them stay confused." ~ Prince.
