^ Oldfriends4sale , I think you mentioned on another thread that there was film of the June 7 1984 First Ave show, that coupled with the existing soundboard cleaned up by FBG and 4Dafunk would make for an excellent estate release.

I'd buy a live record if it was released but I am more interested in studio outtakes! Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Thanks for that link!!! Great information. I had read bits and pieces of that story, but not the full article. Need to keep it for the Revolution haters who claim that Prince had nothing to do with them - particularly Wendy and Lisa - after 1986
And this bit seals the deal on whether there's a recording of the tent show: * "A Hollywood camera crew filmed Prince 's party for a documentary motion picture. Meanwhile, the singer and his band had to return to Met Center at 11 a.m. Thursday - just seven hours after the party ended - to shoot some footage for the music video of the forthcoming single "I Wish U Heaven." Just another thought on Prince's stamina too....he had a full concert prior to the 2:00am tent show which ended at 4:00am, and then had to shoot the music video at 11:00am...and he looks great in that video.

Near the end of the post-concert concert, Mattie Baker, Prince's mother, said, Prince, who tickled the ivories and played some striking jazz guitar, The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter

I'd love to see the full Birthday '86 show remastered on blu ray. The October 3, 1988 aftershow at the Roseland Ballroom I hope was filmed. Hearing Patti on Wade In The Water always gives me chills "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The 20 minute set he played in the dressing room for Paul Gongaware and John Meglen after getting paid for the Musicology tour. That's probably out there, right ?
