What live gig release would butter your muffin?

I'm currently grooving to One Nite Alone live. I've always loved it!
Have you got any favourite live eras that you would love to reminisce to?
Personally, I'd love to hear a live set from the Parade era.
Thoughts?

For me I would love a Tour Video from the 1999 Tour, w/ The Time & Vanity 6 sets included.

Are we talking about audio or video? It's selfish but for me it would be audio or video from my first Prince show at the fox theater in Detroit ACT I tour 04/01/1993. We know that he flimed most shows to critique that performances and that he saved everything. It stands to reason that footage from the majority of his shows exist. My ultimate wish would be for the the estate to make these all available for solid media purchase online or by streaming. Not released by trickling out one at a time. Imagine being able to view any specific show you wanted. Being able to relive the memory of a show that you attended or one that you wish you could have gone to. That would be priceless. The footage doesn't necessarily need to be edited either.

I've been tickled by those so-called MonoNeon leaks. Prince on keys? That's what I wanna hear the most. I know there have been few shows with Neon, Kirk and Donna and I'm not aware of any audience recordings on boots, so IDK how good the shows are as a whole, but the few tracks that leaked from those shows and rehearsals teased me to death.

.

I'd take anything else, of course, but I'm sort of familiar with other bands and setlists, so I'm going for what I don't know.

.

That, and the first Capri show from 1979. Just imagine the Estate releasing the first "Prince as a solo artist" show!! (I assume none of his pre-WB shows with his early bands has ever been recorded).

Yeah of course those shows we attended... everyone would want those I guess!

.

I have audience recordings of 2 of the 5 shows I attended. I know the other 3 exist, I used to have them on cassettes (I may still have them in a box somewhere), but they're not widely available digitally. 2 of those were Act II, and there's no SBD Act II in circulation sad

.

Of course there are some shows we only have in audience that'd be great in SBD, too, but that'd make for a long list lol

I was fortunate enough to see 4 of the 6 shows he did Oct/Nov 2015. I went to the actual Madonna concert and missed the announcement of the party at Paisley Park. So different than the 3RDEYEGIRL shows. Prince was on keys the majority of those shows to stage right. Adrian Crutchfield was also a part of that band for 3 of the 6 shows. Prince was very relaxed for these shows. He even played drums on 777-9311 at one of them.

Anything from Act I or Act II and the Gold Experience shows.

The Emporium (London) shows are also essential for release!

the Diamonds and Pearls show from Sydney, Australia in the immediate aftermath of the LA riots would be my choice. It was filmed for the house big screen from multiple angles and the performance and atmosphere were extraordinary

look who came out tha woodwork...

anyhow...i'd want the purple rain tour warm-up gig from bogart's in cincinnati, sept. 23, 1984. audio and video. i've seen a lot of show's there and had a lot of good times. it'd be fun to imagine having been there.

Hey I've been busy...., I thought if I had a slight chance of the estate listening it was worth making time to chime in.

I do agree that the Bogart's show would be awesome! I've had a great time seeing shows there myself over the years. Band's frequently would skip Columbus, so my friends and I would often drive to Cleveland or Cincinnati to see shows. I was not surprised when the Revolution skipped Columbus. I ended up catching them in both Cincy and Cleveland.

I would also love to see more from the Dirty Mind, ATWIAD, and Parade eras as I don't feel like there is enough of these eras out there.

I love the snippets I have seen of these online, he was so brilliant and the band - incredible . 2009 Montreux as well. His ability to embrace and channel Spirit in these was so evident.

Most of his tours deserve documentation, video and audio. A live set from the tour should be included with a rerelease of each album as a bare minimum.

A Complete First Avenue/Sam's shows boxset would be a great as well.
