I went to see Prince at Wembley Arena for the last show of the Act 2 tour, almost exactly 25 years ago. I remember he did a drum solo section, which I'd never seen him do after that. Then he went on to Bagleys to do the aftershow you see in Sacrifice of Victor. Earlier that same day he did the mini concert at BBC radio theatre, broadcast on Radio 1. Busy day for him! Wanted to go to the aftershow, but kind of glad I didn't as I was already in trouble with my parents for coming home late, and Bagleys looked too hot and sweaty for me. I saw 3 shows on that tour. 32 years ago today (12th August) I saw Prince at Wembley Arena on the opening night of the Parade European Tour. My first ever prince gig and it was sublime. 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything. | |
