Again, that was heresay from Omarr's statement. I was wondering if police gave any credibility to Omarr. Not doubting anyone, just curious.

Totally understand what you're saying. And good point...I don't know if any of his statements to police have been given credibility (or anyone elese's for that matter)

The only thing I can think of is that they felt his statement wasn't pertinent to their investigation of whether there was enough evidence to prosecute anyone in relation to P's death (i.e. some form of murder regarding Fentanyl, which was the proximate cause of P's death).

My understanding (based on yesterday's press conference) is there was no hard evidence . Not enough to prosecute anyone beyond a reasonable doubt. (Anyone feel free to chime in if this is incorrect).

That is correct. The law enforcement authorities, with all of the evidence at their disposal, concluded that there was not enough evidence to prosecute anyone. The amateur detectives on the org though, without all of the evidence, some of them think otherwise.

RIP sad

Shall we start to ignore them, for Pete's sake.
It was an accident as it was first stated.
Kirk seems to have dragged P to the doctor.
But it's hard to tell, it's not Prince's body language any more.
I've seen the CCTV of going ot the doctor, I've seen it once

I ignore all the ones who cry out for murder charges. P hid his tracks well, and finding the lab that made the counterfeit pills is a virtual impossibility. Kirk may be guilty of something, but I don't think he contributed in any meaningful way to P's death. Certainly not in a way that he could be prosecuted. The jail cells would be full if anyone who gave their meds to someone else were actually prosecuted.

Prince on that surveillance video is someone walking without any signs of 'pain', the cane is not with him he is moving very smoothly. I think back to a recent article and interview with Lisa Coleman. Her saying the last time she saw Prince she was thinking he had "given up" and something in his eyes was not there. I took alot from that, think about things Morris Day and Mayte also said, Morris saying he had a conversation with him in January, Mayte hearing he was not doing "well". This is why I still am saying something else was going on inside this man, hearing Judith talking about Prince seeming depressed or out of it, "Maybe I have done everything on this earth" and also his sister giving the same statement in reference to her conversations with him. This is more and more sounding like someone that is slowly breaking down, physically and that leads to many other things. I mean If you are Prince and your life and everyday is music and playing and all of sudden it seems you just cannot do it anymore, where does that leave you. This is not a man who had other things to do. But you can look at PRINCE videos and performances in the final couple of years, look at his eyes it is alot different then the Prince a few years earlier touring Welcome 2 America, there was something going on during that time. But again it is something we will never know for sure.

I've said it many times, that I noticed a change about 2 years before he died. I saw him at the Essence Festival in July 2014 and his seemed normal, but by the end of 2014, I noticed that there was change. He was either sick in some way or maybe that's when the dependency/addiction started. When he was on the Arsenio Show in 2015 (I think), he did not seem to be his normal self. I got a different vibe from him. He also did not seem to be with it on the Saturday Night Live performance either.

I'm heartbroken about this too. I know I will not be looking at these photos and will do whatever I can to avoid seeing them. I already have enough sad images in my head over all of this, I don't need anymore. I just want to remember him as the handsome, beautiful man he was.

To help out the people thinking about downloading the zip files that were released by the police.

.

Electronic_Records_1.zip contains Squad_Video. As far as I can tell, this is the dashcam footage of police that responded to the 911 call on 4/21/2016. Nothing of value.

Electronic_Records_3.zip contains graphic video footage of the death scene and no new information of value. AVOID!

.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what the rest of the zip files contain.

[Edited 4/19/18 23:55pm]

Thank you for this! I downloaded the records_5.zip last night. (just randomly picked one to download). Tood TWO AND A HALF HOURS!! ugh. Good stuff in there though. got to hear larry graham finally talk to investigators. saw phone records...emails..etc.

That comment from Judith Hill about Prince telling her his hands hurt makes me so sad. What if he had really bad arthritis or something? Clearly he should not have been performing. It makes me think back to Damaris Lewis’s interview with CNN where she said the last time she talked to Prince she told him he needed to take a break and get some rest. Every time I listen to one of the P&M shows sadness comes over me. His singing and playing was amazing. He was still giving 110% even though we now know he was not well at all. He didn’t lock himself in a bedroom to waste away, he was doing what he loved most - being on stage and performing. Those shows still blow my mind because how many big name artists can get up on stage with just a piano and a microphone and blow people away for 2 hours. I would argue not many. Just makes me love and respect the man more. 😥💜

Just when I thought this couldn't hurt anymore than it aleady does, I made the mistake of scrolling through my FB timeline just now and I saw Prince...PRINCE...MOTHERFUCKERS!!!! Just left on the floor like a piece of garbage soon to be disposed of. The core of my very soul aches. disbelief

Here's what bothers ME:

Prince died of an overdose of the drug Fentanyl. Of which, it is very highly fucking likely that he never even knew he'd taken.

Spot on. And the humanity of SKipper in need of a shave, joyful, full of life and love for music, dog-tied, rehearsing non-stop for the triumphal tour to come, while WDC spends the month of july at #1.
And the movie is the summer's blockbuster.

Great to see him in his large dance practice pants, the magical hat with the feather, it's like Prince aura could be captured on tape, no performer felt more generous and spontaneous.

By mid-august, the tidal wave hit Europe. And N2CU was already overdubbed and mixed!
Man... That's what counts. Let the morbid be morbid.

It was from the Morning Call, it was posted there and it was very recent the interview and I believe was posted here, but if you google Lisa Coleman Morning Call its right there a Q and A with her and she says looking at it now "she has regret" and also "it looked like he knew he was going to die or had given up" that was mainly in reference to also doing the Piano and Mic tour she was puzzled as to WHY he was doing something like that.

This whole thing just breaks my heart. Prince hid his issues well, all in order to be the performer we all love(d). Those photos of the his food just tore me apart, the image seemed to cry out loneliness through and through. Prince was a lonely man. A lonely man in a lot of pain. Still, he carried on, probably because that was all he knew.
This whole release of footage (i'm still in shock over images of his body on some news channels, bastards!) is really too much. But at the same time it's good to finally be able to read those reports and interviews and get a clearer picture of what happened. It does bring closure, even if a painful one. To read about the pain in his hands is just... tremendously sad.

Thanks Penny. I tried last night and this morning but my device just says "cannot open file". So I'm relying on others here rather than what will inevitably end up in trash mags/trash news outlets.

Unfortunately, I watched the videos. I can't find the words... Sigh.

However... Watching that NC2U clip creates a wierd balance for me. Look at his face in that rehearsal footage. He was a baby then, 26ish I think, just full of joy and hope. A kid on the verge of taking over the whole world. Sooo much talent. Soooo fearless.

I simply refuse to wallow in the sadness of it. I won't. I can't. I instead choose to focus on this amazing person. He was not a murder investigation. He was not an addiction to painkillers. He was not a tradgegy. He was none of those things.

He was an amazing person. He was my hero.

What an amazing life he lived. What an amazing example he set.

And what an amazing gift that we got to share this planet with him.
