Found it.
A Minnesota doctor who allegedly knew painkillers he prescribed for Prince's drummer would be used by the musician has agreed to a civil settlement with federal prosecutors to resolve possible controlled substance violations found during the investigation into Prince's 2016 overdose death.
Dr. Michael T. Schulenberg will pay a $30,000 fine and will also be monitored under a two-year agreement with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as part of the settlement, announced Thursday, just 90 minutes before the Carver County attorney planned an 11:30 a.m. news conference to update the status of the county's death investigation.
Neither the names of Prince nor his drummer and assistant, Kirk Johnson, appear in the settlement agreement, but federal search warrants executed in the weeks after Prince's body was discovered at Paisley Park disclosed that Schulenberg admitted to writing prescriptions for Percocet in Johnson's name, knowing that they were actually for Prince.

Dr Shulenberg: "federal government alleges that Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg violated the Controlled Substances Act when he wrote a prescription in someone else's name on April 14, 2016." That was a script he wrote under Kirk's name.

Which Dr? Schulenberg. The $30K is in relation to a script he wrote for Kirk for 15 Percocet which were given to Prince. Paisley Park is in your heart

Schulenberg told investigators that three days after the emergency landing, Johnson sent a text message asking Schulenberg to call him. During the call, Schulenberg told investigators, Johnson expressed concerns about Prince's opiate use and apologized for asking Schulenberg to prescribe Percocet for Prince.

Oh man. Looks like he really did have a drug problem.
Medical records indicated that Schulenberg examined Prince a day before his death, according to one federal search warrant. The musician reported feeling "antsy" and thought it may be related to having stopped taking Tylenol that morning. Prince didn't know if the Tylenol had any other ingredients, Schulenberg said. But Schulenberg's notes indicated that "independent sources of history" reported Prince's Tylenol as containing hydrocodone, a pain reliever. A urinalysis on Prince also tested positive for opiates.
According to medical records, Schulenberg expressed concern that Nelson could be suffering from opiate withdrawal.
Federal search warrants described DEA investigators seeking evidence of federal drug crimes that included distribution and conspiracy charges. Weeks after Prince's death, agents found dozens of pills marked as prescription pain pills in Prince's bedroom, inside two bottles of CVS-brand vitamin C tablets in a black suitcase.
Agents also recovered a CVS prescription pill container with 10 white round pills with "TV150" stamped on one side and "3" on another, which indicates an acetaminophen/codeine mixture. But, according to the search warrants, those pills were thought to be an unused prescription written by a Minnesota dentist for Johnson.

Because fam have been waiting two years to find out -- and the people being publicly blamed are likely innocent of doing anything wrong.
So then just release the info. A press conference is meant to literally confer with the press. If they want to give the press information without taking questions, then they can press release and call it a day. This reeks of publicity. But why?? I wish u heaven |

Some of it looks new to me, I think they just released more info on it this morning, and that's how the Star Tribune got it.
According to a federal search warrant application unsealed early Thursday, a medical examiner found 67 micrograms of fentanyl per liter of blood in Prince's system — more than 22 times what would be found in a cancer patient who regularly wore a pharmaceutical fentanyl patch.

It's just continually depressing to read this stuff. It reitarates how avoidable his death was.

The picture it paints, to me, is that Prince was hiding the extent of his use from people such as Dr S. The image I get is that when his drug use caused problems that were evident to others (withrawal, plane OD, etc), he was incredibly reticent to reveal information that could've resulting in him getting the help he needed. The whole thing is just a tragic waste.

No. It looks like he needed drugs at the end of his life due to pain brought on by an illness. If his addiction was this bad for a long time there would be more evidence supporting it. He was prolific all the way until the end and toured without any evidence of him being high or stumbling or stuttering slurring in interviews. He always appeared coherent and on point. Until the very end. Jeez, OPEN YOUR EyES FAM. I wish u heaven |

Sorry, no mention of illness and the test Dr. S had him do, showed opiates in his system. If it was an illness there would be no need to obtain the drugs illegally. And there has been no official announcement in 2 year of an illness.
Again, not everybody shows signs of being out of it, while on these drugs. And I know this for a FACT.

Not surprising. This happens all the time. I personally know a couple health care providers who have met the same fate in the past. In many of these cases it was ignorance more than anything else that got them in trouble. There are more safety nets and/or resources today for health care providers to keep them from getting caught up in drug-seekers tangled web of lies that leads to them getting in hot water with the authorities. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN |

I'll be surprised. Seriously, I'm hoping something happens.
This is why the family never announced an illness, and let everyone believe that story about the OD, because that's what happened. No illness just accidental OD.

Exactly. It's time for everyone to give up that other illness narrative. Yes, he did have a very serious condition that needed immediate specialized care for opiate dependence/addiction. Well it wouldn’t need to be obtained this way for hip pain either. Unless the argument is he was using this stuff for recreational purposes the only assumption one can make is he was too proud to admit/disclose he had chronic pain or some illness and certainly would try and hide as much as possible that he was taking medication for it (and developed a dependency on it). This is Prince we’re talking about. Paisley Park is in your heart

something still isn't making sense. Come on. 15 pills? and a few Tylenol 3's that were supposedly left over from a dental procedudure KJ had?? That's child's play...Prince was getting it from somewhere else besides a medical Dr, unless KJ was (for him)and we are not being enlightened on what scripts were in KJ's name in the past year...maybe KJ had gotten cut off from the medical Dr's and went elsewhere.

right, those 15 percocets played very little role in his death. The pills itemized in the warrants -- and the stuff that killed him -- were largely illegal counterfeit pills that weren't from any doctor. Those 15 percocets didn't cause his addiction. And to be fair, nothing has come out yet linking Kirk to the fatal illegal stuff.
