Q: You were there to witness the strange evolution in Michael’s appearance. Did you ever step in and saying anything about it?
A: Oh, we talked about it all the time. But he’d come up with, “Man, I promise you I have this disease,” and so forth, and “I have a blister on my lungs,” and all that kind of b.s. It’s hard, because Michael’s a Virgo, man—he’s very set in his ways. You can’t talk him out of it. Chemical peels and all that stuff.

Q: Did you believe him about the disease?

A: “I don’t believe in any of that bullshit, no. No. Never. I’ve been around junkies and stuff all my life. I’ve heard every excuse. It’s like smokers—”I only smoke when I drink” and all that stuff. But it’s bullshit. You’re justifying something that’s destructive to your existence. It’s crazy. I mean, I came up with Ray Charles, man. You know, nobody gonna pull no wool over my eyes. He did heroin 20 years! Come on. And black coffee and gin for 40 years. But when he called me to come over to see him when he was in the hospital on his way out, man, he had emphysema, hepatitis C, cirrhosis of the liver, and five malignant tumors. Please, man! I’ve been around this all my life. So it’s hard for somebody to pull the wool over my eyes. But when somebody’s hell-bent on it, you can’t stop ‘em.”

Q: But it must’ve been so disturbing to see Michael’s face turn into what it turned into.
A: “It’s ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be black.”

Q: Is that what it was?
A: Well, what do you think? You see his kids?

This was one of a few interviews he did after MJ's death

That interview made me chuckle.... lol

.

But seriously, I don't think MJ wanted to be White. I don't think it was about being black or white at all. It was more about MJ separating himself from his Father; he didn't want to look anything like his Father. He resented his Father for a lot of things, and he was very vocal about that.

.

I think the other thing that contributed to his skin color was after the Pepsi accident; he was a forever changed man. He was so traumatized by that, and I think after he started to see his transformation after having his burns healed; one thing led to another, and I do believe that he became "addicted" to changing his looks. A lot of people have this disorder with plastic surgery. I think it was more of a psychological thing with Michael than anything else.

.

This is how he became addicted to pain meds......and well, you know all the rest.

Yes. I just wanted to add; MJ embraced his black heritage. You can hear it when he speaks and you can hear it in his music. He was really damaged by his Father and you could see that in his eyes. I respect him for speaking-out about what he had to endure as a child. I'm sure it was very painful for him. RIP, MJ heart

Why does Quincey need to ask himself that question? He obviously finds white women attractive, there’s nothing wrong with that, and having a preference for being with someone of a particular race or ethnicity is a very different thing to actually taking steps through surgical procedures to make yourself appear to be of a different race.

Why is vehicular homicide of a beloved icon funny? People on Twitter think Prince is a violent nutjob for this and he probably did not even tell anyone to do anything. Jill and Matt have him saying nothing at all. MJ would not know what he was saying in the car. Q probably wasn’t even there. Just because MJ saw prince sitting in his limo watching him,LaToya and the mom leave doesn’t mean prince was even considering murdering him. (As if any limo driver in their right mind would even consider killing MJ with a car)

Well, if it had actually happened, it wouldn't be funny at all. The idea of Prince being embarrassed and angry enough to contemplate it, or even that MJ was scared that Prince was contemplating it is what makes me laugh. I'm sure Prince felt set up by the whole situation.

Prince would never do anything like that. That would be attempted murder.
