. I think it was because of the fact that Prince's death was turned into a homicide investigation, so Chazz changed his opinion on what may have happened to his Cousin, Prince. . justice4cuz..... . https://twitter.com/justice4cuz?lang=en

1Sasha said: Today in The New York Times is an article on Fentanyl use in the UK. Of course, it mentions the fent deaths of Prince and Tom Petty. The article goes on to relate what users feel with the drug (if they survive using it), and how they are basically junkies. That is the narrative now for Prince. Not music first. Drug use first. I hate it. I wish to God we could get the truth from someone. I don't think this is going to be the case at all. I think there is more empathy and understanding for victims of the opioid crisis. And that's only going to increase as more people suffer personal tragedies due to this public health crisis. The sooner we as fans get over our own prejudice towards substance abuse and addiction the better. I just don't understand people's resistence to treating Prince's death with a sense of compassionate acceptance. Frankly the people who would believe the tabloids aren't exactly people whose opinions should matter. Who cares what those people think? I truly don't believe that Prince's memory is going to simply be "junkie". There is still an enormous amount of public respect for him and i don't see that changing. Especially if we all do our part to keep the focus on what he accomplished rather than on the way he died. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

But he will not inherit nothing so what cash is coming? You seem to think you know better then his own family members when you actually know nothing more then what is in your over active imagination.
Did you know the cameras were removed from Paisley? Did you know that SNJ tried to ban the Mattie siblings from the memorial service? Did you know that other family want Chazz to shut up and stop speaking?
Do you really think nothing strange is going on with this case when Chazz told us a month ago that the police would be bringing the investigation to a close soon and that many strange things surround the case. If Prince was only suffering from drug addiction this case would not have dragged on for almost two years and family member who know something would not be acting secretive and strange.
Something is being hidden from the public and only a total fool cannot see it. Some information is being hidden from Chazz and he knows it.

He said he had a chance to speak with the investigators so he knows a bit more then we do. I believe people know things and are withholding info. Like Chazz or not he is right. We have seen a big rush of associates working to cash in and make a dollar on their asociation with Prince but very few question anything about his death.
For some people he was nothing more then a big ATM machine. [Edited 2/5/18 8:09am]

if it's as simple as Prince being an addict, i can accept it,, problem is, there has been something off about the death right from the beginning. People sense it, and sure, some people might be in denial about Prince and drugs but it isn't just that.

I'm shocked that he went out this way too. Many people don't see prescription drugs as being the same as street drugs, but they are just as deadly. I honestly don't think that Prince was taking the drugs for the purpose of getting high. He started out taking them for real pain and got addicted or dependent.

Of course it is not just that. More is going on and it will come out someday and I hope the naysayers are prepared. Not healthly to live in a dream world or pretend to live in one because I believe several of the naysayers on this board no full well more is going on.

PetraBravestrong said: Hey, theres been discussions about this and KJ's alleged involvement. I think he knows. Theres a reason why he was around for 30 years . Was Andre C? No! I personally think foul play is involved. Why in the world was Princes clothes insde out and backwards ???? Why did Prince sing that legendary song by Bill Withers "Use Me Up" mentioning KJ when he sung it in Oakland. Footage was on Youtube, Now its mysteripusly vanished. I think powers that be wanted the vault, Now they got what they wanted . Follow the money! I also think P was saddened by Vanity's death. It was only 8 wks or less b4. Like P's cousin said why if these people loved him, why didnt they do something sooner ? Justice4cuz Sorry to jump in after being AWOL for so long. I think everyones opinion is valid. But its impossible to put the pieces together without knowing the 'whys' and we may never know the 'whys'. From what I gather, the critical unsolved piece is why did Prince take those specific pills. There are reports that he was depressed (an old girlfriend had passed away suddenly that Fall, Vanity had just passed, Bowie had just passed, Prince was 'opening up' and talking more about his life and his dreams in concerts, etc, he was starting to struggle). He was clearly in both physical and emotional pain; he had lost a significant amount of weight over past 2 years. He also had enemies in the industry much like MJ did and others. Could be suicide, could be foul play, could be just a bad mistake. I dont know KJ personally but having met him several times and having known people who do know him, he is ride or die for Prince and has been for decades. Being probably 'the' closest person to him, he had to know that if Prince banished him, Prince would be completely alone so that had to be a difficult position to be in. I believe that all the folks who were around at the end sincerely tried to help Prince. Why was he alone that night? Probably because he was a grown man, he was Prince, he probably said 'Get out' and that he'd be fine and see the doctor tomorrow. Cant make a grown man do anything he doesnt want to do without putting the entire situation on blast (ie call the authorities because they are a danger to themselves... And who knows how that would have ended, maybe worse with a gunshot to the head...we dont know). As for the pills being in KJs name. MJ had pills in other folks names too, most celebs do for privacy reasons but those pills didnt kill him. And if he had Oxy available to him in KJs name, why take the weaker 'Vicodin' anyways and why search for that particular bottle of 'Vicodin' versus other bottles of legit Vicodin in the house? I do know that pain sucks as I've been on both Vicodin, Oxy, and Fent... If I were in pain, I'd go for the strongest pills unless I was trying to wean myself out of an addiction. All I am saying is I dont think KJ should go down for a name on pills that didnt kill anyone. Even if those pills had been used in the OD, if KJ had said no, someone elses name would have been on the bottle. Sorry to bring up MJ again but if Dr Murray hasnt got him the propofol then another doctor would have. It sucks but these celebrities are so isolated and have such power that the few friends who have access to them have to stay in grace in order to be there to help. I'd like to believe that in Prince's case, he convinced them that he would be okay that night.

Bowie had just passed, Why would he be depressed about David Bowie passing away?

I'm curious to know how many people genuinely believe he was murdered. And also if this "interview" was a catalyst for that belief. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

there a million things that don't make sense to me, one being all the contradictory rumour and statement from friends and family. the blind item thing, and looking back, even his latter songs where he was telling us goodbye. The drugs, well, although i understand now that opioids can be used and addicted to without overt signs, I still think a lot of the things we saw don't make sense. Even though some people have said they have been opioid addicts and no one knew, I have to question that a little, maybe they are delusional because I think there are always signs and we didn't get much from prince until the plane went down. We've heard rumours hear, apparently from the inner circle that coincide with the blind item, that he had aids and that he had leukemia related to aids. If that was true, I could very easily see a man like Prince, used to having things his own way, used to having people fawn over him, I could easily see him not wanting to end up in hospice where his last days would be haunted by fans feeling sorry for him and withering away slowly. I really do think that's a good possibility, i don't think he was murdered, I do think it's possible that he was just an addict but I just think that's an oversimplication of more.

I just know that he had mentioned Bowie a few times in concerts that year... He had also spoken to friends about Bowie being 'such a nice person'. I've had co-workers and peers (not necessarily friends) die and it affected me. I figure it wasnt far fetched that multiple folks passing away may have affected him if already depressed.

affected him? sure, bowie was an influence, but I doubt he meant that much to him but dunno. I know Prince meant a helluva lot to me as a musician, it made me want to put down my instrument forever.

I agree. I think if he were that sick then this could easily have been a way to control the exit. Hell, I'm religious too and also a control freak and staying and withering away, while depending on others to help me, with everyone feeling sorry for me, would be a fate worse than death and would not be how I'd want to leave here. I'd rather be considered an addict and have my friends tell the truth about it all later OR if I were in a lot of inner turmoil then I probably wouldnt even care.

Yeah, I dont know for sure but Bowie's death could have just been 'one more' and that can affect an already depressed person. Sometimes, I'm like 'why is everyone dying all of the sudden?' As a matter of fact, thats how 2016 was for me. I wanted that year to end FAST and I didnt even personally know all of those folks who passed. I actually had the opposite reaction to yours in response to Prince's death. It made me pick up my guitar... But we all grieve differently and no way is wrong. I've learned so much about the man since his death. I wish he were still here but I'm so happy that he was even here to begin with. Regardless of what kind of pain he was in, he is free of it now.

ya, when my ma died, i practiced like a madman, which was the case for most times when i had a crisis, not so with P's death, that really sucked the spirit out of me. Like it was some sort of divine omen portending something relating to me it's time to quit. But, of course, I didn't. Your other point, sometimes one little thing can lead to a tailspin, it's true for me, last week I had a horrible week, i had some friends who had a dog they have to put down because it bit someone, really depressed me and it just got worse and worse from there. So, who knows what was going on in the mans mind. It couldn't have been easy for him aging, hell, he probably hated that more than anyone else did. They say that's what drove James Brown to drugs, the aging. [Edited 2/5/18 11:08am]

I don't know what to make of Chazz, I understand he wasn't that close to P in the final years and I haven't heard a lot of positive things about his relationship with P in the past. So, when i got an orgnote from him to join his page, i just ignored it. I don't know if he's sincere or not and it's really not something i even want to judge, him being family and all.

[Edited 2/5/18 11:08am] Yup, I think he probably had a hard time with aging but by all accounts, he was aging very well (except for those hips). A lot of photos are retouched but there are several live performances from 2014/2015 where I could have sworn he had to be drinking vampire blood or something because he looked to be in his late 30s/early 40s. Then there was the persistent rumor of early onset dementia... I could see that, if true, putting him in a very dark place (its like having ones brain turn on you, forcing you to slowly lose what makes you ... you; it takes away your gifts, I dont even want to think of that happening to him or of him having to acknowledge that happening to him).

most of the time he looked great, I was mildly taken aback by the arsenio hall appearance because he looked old but I just reminded myself "he's in his mid-fifties" but he's always looked better than his age, in that case he didn't, didn't bother me, but it was noticeable. They say he did his own makeup in the final days and was alone for the most part, maybe to keep a buffer from people. The dementia rumours? Well until someone more reliable than anna fantastic says it, i'll just dismiss it. It's interesting how Brown Mark said what he did about P at the last meeting though, but that could have been exhaustion, confusion, drugs, or something else besides dementia. There's times when most people are forgetful I think.

Or maybe Prince was being honest. When he asked Mark "Who is going to pay guitar" Maybe he knew he was not going to be around to play it. Mark said he went because Apples told him that Prince was ill.

As for the dementia, I had heard that came from family members as the disease runs in their family. I understand that it affected John Nelson very badly (especially in terms of composing music) but who knows for sure, it wont be confirmed unless a dr comes out and confirms it which aint gonna happen. Yup, I can get forgetful when I have too many things on my mind, when under lots of stress, and when my iron is very low but then again, dementia runs on both sides of my family, so I'm always concerned when I forget things that I've known for years and years. . The reports of the camera's being removed from PP is a rumor. . Of course there are strange things going on. People are being told to keep quiet because it's still an ongoing investigation. . Chazz doesn't know what's going on, because he's not immediate family.

Did you listen the interview? Charles did with Mike Dean. I listened to the 3 hour interveiw and he said the cameras were removed. Remember he did go to the memorial service so he has been inside Paisley Park. He also claims to have had lunch with some of the police so they may have told him small things that will not effect the case.
Listen to the interview. He does not say anything that hurts the case. Most of it is stuff that is going on among the sibs and the weird way they were acting at the funeral.

i listened to it, i still don't know what to make of him. family is funny when it comes to death, even every day family's get paranoid about murder or foul play all the time, that's why I try not to judge the dude but I also don't think he's very objective.

he didn't look that bad but we're talking Prince here, a guy who regularly looked 20 years younger than he was, so it was a little concerning. Memory issues, shit, i've been racking my brain all morning trying to remember a name of a guy i knew a few years ago, it'll come to me but it used to not happen as much. Still, i'm thankful, my memory is way way better than all my friends.

Yeah I just wasnt alarmed by that appearance. I thought he was tired, maybe a bit sluggish, but he still looked younger than his age to me. To me, his face was still 'full' looking. I was more alarmed by his face slimming down later in that year. When he started to not look like himself was when I became alarmed. He looked great on the New Girl episode but at some point between the taping of that show and the 2015 Grammys, he just started to look different to me and the difference alarmed me. I thought he started to look ill between those years. The odd thing is that I thought he looked better at his final show in Atlanta than he had looked in the months leading up to that show. When I remember Prince today, I choose to recall how he looked on the New Girl episode.
