I remember being inside for the very first time......and it felt like home
and what anangellooksdown said, because if it's my time to go, then the monsters at PP can take me anytime. This was Prince's home and he built it through all those stages of work he created for years. It wouldn't bother me at all, I believe if I heard anything I'd guess it was Prince.

I could stay there alone. I'm sure there were security cameras and such. It's my understanding that he had living quarters there also, like an apartment. |

Paisley Park was a tangible manifestation of Prince's creative vision/s and of his personality. The energy there that built up over all the years of music and creativity and love and excitement couldn't be anything but comforting and beautiful, especially to Prince who, I'd imagine whenever he'd look at any space there, at any room or object, he'd recall memories associated with those spaces, rooms, objects, etc. Paisley is a large building and for most people, a larger space than they're used to being in alone. But I can't imagine Prince could feel anything other than happiness and comfort being there. As for the OP's original question about if *I* could stay at PP at night, alone, I do believe I could. Being alone has never bothered me, and I'd hope I'd feel some of that beautiful energy Prince and his life there left behind and so being there I don't think could be frightening or creepy in any way to me. |

I could stay there to alone in the daytime , its just late at night it would get scary in 65,000 sq ft alone and you hear some music playing down the hallway or door opening or closing or noises down the hallway and you suppose to be the only one there, jeejee, lol Just joking, I'm sure P would have told Tyka or somebody else close to him if he had any encounters like that late in the night. |

To me, that sounds like heaven. In fact, if there was such a thing as heaven, I imagine it to be a huge mansion with nobody else in it other than me.
Oh lordy yes me too. But then there would be two of us in the mansion and heaven would get too crowded. So I need my own mansion. Is there such a thing as two heavens? PIPS! Eurgh... |

I see where you are going with this post. I have always believed Prince must have had more than a few supernatural and paranormal experiences, judging by things and lyrics in his songs. |

Thats what I'm talking about. Plus he was like a creature of the night. For example, Did you ever see him in 3121 London Book. Photographer said they left London went to Prague and took photos in the late late hours of the night. |

Right. I have also had more than a few paranormal encounters in my life, and no matter how comfortable I am in my own home, I do like to be alone at night and would certainly be more than a little spooked in such a large place, alone at night, after everyone has gone home. Even the elevator- I wouldn't get in a damn elevator by myself alone in a building in the middle of the night-- what if the damn thing got stuck between floors? And Prince didn't carry a cell phone... |

Furthermore, Of all the places in PP, the studios, the hallways, etc., etc. He gone be found in the elevator. (just happen that way, hell naw)
Fact: Remember the song 319 on the Gold Album. Prince died exactly 319 days after his 57 Birthday, Warner Bro Records founded on 3/19/58. (319) (just happen that way, hell naw)!! |

I get what you are saying, these are concerns that many have. But given his belief in the creator, I don't find it hard to believe that he thought that his conviction was all the protection he needed in his later years. Early on there may have been a need for more security due to whatever valuables may have been inside PP. I've never felt he was worried about his safety within the confines of PP.
Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end |

If I'm into what I'm doing then I can maintain the stamina and focus to stay up all night working on something for the long haul until it's finished. Sleep gets on my nerves sometimes: what an occasional waste of time and hindrance it is to getting things done. I imagine Prince was able to stay up all night because he was laser-focused and into what he was doing. That cat worked like a mofo. I tend to like being up in the middle of the night anyway. Most of the jerks that would inhabit your day are asleep! Even though I have an 8:30am-4:30pm job I still find myself staying up to 3 or 4:00am more often than not. Prince had to be an all-nighter person. How on God's earth would he ever managed to create and record so many songs? He was amazing. Thanks for it all, Prince. Hope all's well with you and one and all in the afterworld. Peace. |
