The Sex Of It is the full version of the old leak that both fades in at the beginning and out at the ending. The horns and the guitar towards the end are mixed differently, too. The old edit has more emphasis on the horns where the new and longer version has more guitar.

I hear "vinyl" a few times in this track (check 0:09-0:10). Was the version from The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale ever released on vinyl?

My guess is that this version is from a promo or acetate and is an official mix that remains unreleased, and not a fan-edit.

There are a lot of good songs on 5.0 but so far 4.0 is MUCH better. I've only listened to the first 2 discs of 5.0 so far. The Ingred stuff is awful. I listened to the first couple and skipped over the rest. On disc 2 "Pink cashmere" was totally unnecessary as we have a clean version on the Hits discs. Plus I like the Prince songs but I'm really not interested in Sheila E or Tevin Campbell outtakes. All in all I'm glad to have both sets though.

I have 3 versions.

The one on Work It which has an annoying drop out at about the 3'15 mark and a fade out and fade back in towqrds the end.

The one on The Work Enhanced which doesnt have th drop out but still has the fade out and fade in.

This one on BFTP 5 which has neither drop out nor the fade out/fade in (and is better this way I think) but seems to be at a much lower bitrate.

Different sources? Errors? Any thoughts.

I guess I could try and patch 2 and 3 together but my skills arent that great.......

Wow - good ears......I'd missed the volume changes! Now I can hear it, it jars badly. I'll stick with my faded version.

If I Love U 2nite and Pain are incomplete and therefore useless, so I filed those under Evil Samples.
