Believe it or not, there are still people out there who insist that the baritone voice on Push it Up is Prince, not Larry Graham. Not a major problem, more just insanely irritating

PeteSilas	well, how did you guys find out? It's not really all that clear from just listening to. It sounds almost hummed not really sung in a way that betrays vocal characteristics, kinda like an obscene phone call. They say Rosie Gaines used to vocally double for Prince much of the time too. I know that in the Rave show, you could hear her offstage doubling his screams.

coldasice	Ughhh. I hate admitting I'm wrong, but I contacted Levi & yes indeed it is him. I have to thank him for the response. At least we are back to music arguments and not the silly stuff. I take the L on this. Now that I know 100% that it's him I wonder why he didn't sing more.

We've even had Michael N Nelson (Mr Moops) from the Hornheads on here telling you it was Levi.

did you read my post? i said it was sung so low that people can be forgiven for not knowing who it was, next we'll be blaming someone for not knowing how prince whispered. It's a little like the version of we can funk with george clinton, i'm pretty sure I can tell them apart but it's not glaringly obvious. Prince could put on impressions pretty good, good enough to fool chaka khan once on the phone, he said he was sly stone. and i was asking how they knew pre-mr moops (whoever that is). I was trying to find some listing, i don't have the cd here with me and couldn't find it online, but of course i believe you guys.

You have live concert footage and a member from the NPG who was present in the band at the recording of the song and subsequent live performances who confirms the chorus line was sung by Levi (who has confirmed this himself) and you still maintain it's Prince?
