I read an article in an Australian magazine, where Prince was quoted to have liked Katy Perry, and had considered working on music with her.

I don't know if Katy Perry would be considered an ideal girl singer, given Prince's taste. Katy Perry looks a little too happy and bubbly to be a Prince girl, IMO.

Any thoughts on this?

I doubt it,but u never know. P couldve worked with anyone,that was his magic and mystique.

My thought is that statement is the most bizarre conclusion someone has come up with about Prince in a minute. As if Prince wanted some emo-serious-moody chick on his arm? Nonsense.

I don't know about how Prince felt about Katy Perry but I like her. Not so much as a singer...but yeah...I like her...lots...just based on...well, you know...ummm...

We don't know what he was doing. That's a split second from a much bigger occasion. He could be looking down the runway at something that caught his eye, or anything. We don't know. It makes for a great story, but it's untrue that he was blatantly sitting there trying to eyeball her, especially when he's sitting next to his girlfriend. That big dude next to him, with his arms crossed, Prince wasn't nearly leaning forward enough to look at Katy in such an obvious way.

I like her song ROAR. But I don't think Prince liked her in particular. She doesn't have that SOUL that Prince seemed to like in his singers.

I think those two pictures I posted tell a flirtation story going both ways ( I know reality was probably just coincidental sideways glances at who knows what).

That was actually a multiple choice version of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts". He only gave her three choices to rate. John, Orlando, and Diplo. She did it just to get past the question, really, because she fought it for a while. But, Russell wasn't an option to begin with.

She's actually credited Brand with a lot bigger things than sex.

Let me just put it this way......there were very few women that Prince didn't like.
