My plan was to keep the actual discs and packaging as little contacted as possible and it looks like I'd better--that pretty shiny stuff would be destroyed pretty quick. But cool--thanks for sharing. And yeah, let us know how it sounds (I guess over on the main thread?)

I preordered from the official Prince music site and didn't get mine, yet. That's bullshit! How does Best Buy get their's first over the official site?

They had the original tape master. But it was shot on videotape so there's little they can do fix the visuals. It's not like something with a film source they can rescan and remaster.

Thanks for sharing! The packaging looks pretty nice, and I love that there are extensive liner notes about the album. Can't wait for my copy!

Is the sound quality as good as the version on the remastered album itself? I know there was a fairly decent bootleg of the full version out there but I sincerely hope this sounds better than that
