Has all the music from the vault been removed??

Since it was drilled open last year, I am curious if the contents in the vault or have they've been moved out? I would guess that PR remasters were in there as well as Moonbeam Levels... Someone had to gone in there to retrive them....thoughts?

And where is it going? Why would it be removed at all?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

There are 112 songs left there yet to be catalogued because there is no identifying names for them. When they are finally logged, they will remain with most of the others in an off site with proper storage environment as they're worried about the whereabouts of the music being known to the general public. Some have been curated by the Smithsonian for later presentation and others have been sent to Pepe Willie, a one Mr. owen Husney, a woman who mysteriously goes by only C.J., Levi Seacer Jr., and Susan Rogers with aid from Ahmir Thompson.

Some board members making these decisions are a one Kellyanne, Wall, Oceana, Rebekkka, Neptunes, and Natasha/Divinity.

rdhull speaks the truth.

Actually, I have no idea, but it seems reasonable to suspect that the material has been moved. At the very least, temporarily, even if it was returned or will be returned. I mean, "THE VAULT" served its purpose as storage and a mythical focus, but reorganization and new storage facilities (or just remodeling) seem like the sort of thing that might have needed to happen--if the decision was made to keep the materials onsite at Paisley anyway, and since they don't need to be regularly available for Prince's use, why not put them somewhere offsite? Cuts the chances of any of us getting a wild hair on tour and trying to grab them, if nothing else. lol

If the early reports were correct, then the vault was overflowing in to it's entrance area, so It needs a clear out to gain propper access (and for full and propper cataloging/mastering/digitising/etc.) then it could have some key tapes sealed and returned to the Vault for part of the tour...

Then contact Neil Young and use his "Archives" approach but call it something Prince related, like "The Vault" maybe?

Well thank goodness for that. We know that at least one of those people in the final paragraph have the correct baking facilities...

Are there any recent photos of the vault, and its contents?

I for one would be interested in seeing the mountain of boxes piled inside and outside the vault doors.

And has anyone found a pile of mix tapes/early album versions that Prince used to drive around listening to, and occasionally throw out the car window?

Judging by the various interviews by studio engineers over the last 12 months, the vault was full to the point where there were piles of tapes in the entrance un marked

Why do they keep everyone in the dark about these things??? They should start a public blog with what it going on, get people involved and keep them interested that something is happening. Such bad PR.

Why should they? lol. They're not under any requirements to alert the public or fans about the goings on regarding the vault, estate, or anything else.

And when they do alert the public to information, those things take time to get rght before that information is released. Usually.

There is no need for upates such as "We just took a meeting to discuss copyright issues/payment about this one protegee's vocals..Starbucks coffee and some cheap donuts were served."

That is an insane ideology. Keeping you in the dark?!?! LOL People who say things like that are entitled without cause. No one owes anyone a daily update of who writes down what, and what they've found, and how things are handled. Prince didn't even do that, much less it happening now. Of course, we'd be interested, but no business does things like that. Gheezus, the dude's been dead just what.... 15 months-ish? And suddenly everyone is a public relations expert on what should or shouldn't be done.

Where were all you folks when Prince was alive? Where were you trying to get in his inner circle and influence him into good business decisions? Why didn't you team up with Londell or Van Jones or whoever had his ear at the time? Where were all those great PR ideas then?! Y'all sure were quiet before April 21, 2016.

It's childish to demand all these things. It's like a kid at a toy store - I want what I want, and I want it right now! Fams are like vultures now that he's dead. People talk about the press picking at the bones, but the fams were the first in line to pick at the vault like meat on a bone, delve into every conspiracy theory, and swim in the mudhole of conjecture and half-assed theories.

If the estate never released anything again, that'd be their prerogative. But the estate are also fans, and they know the market that's there to sell Prince's music post-mortem. Prince fans don't have the only insight to how important Prince was to music and the world. The world knows how important Prince was to music. But a blog on daily happenings?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Prince did do that, we were at Paisley Park at least a few times per month for the past few years hearing new material and what was coming up all the time, he was in constant communication with the fans. I totally get it that they are in the legal struggle so they probably can't do it but there is a staff at Paisley that isn't in court everyday. and a PR team that is in the business of promoting Prince.

HAHAHA Where was this mysterious blog or site or line of information that was out there for everyone to read that came from Prince's fingertips? I mean, how many couple hundred people were at Paisley Park compared to the 316,000,000 in the U.S. that may or may not be up to read about it ?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
