CHASKA, Minn. (KMSP) - The search warrants related to the Prince death investigation will be unsealed and become public data on Monday, April 17, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Friday. Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud said “the matter remains an open and active investigation.”

The unsealing of the documents comes almost exactly one year from the date of Prince’s death.

I think this is going to be less illuminating than some here are hoping for. They're just releasing search warrants themselves; they're not publicizing whatever they found when the warrants were executed.

I defer to a lawyer here, but I believe HIPAA rules still apply. And second, it sounds like they're releasing the warrants (the requests to search various properties), not the results of what they found when they executed the warrants.

According to the articles, Carver Couty is releasing "a handful of search warrants" -- aka requests to search property (according to the Strib, likely primarily releated to the search of paisley park). That's it. There's no mention of releasing info about who was interviewed. And we'll have no idea what, if anything at all, they found. So, as another poster mentioned, this likely much ado about nothing.

We are not going to see the medical records that info will redacted. We will get to see who they spoke to as a part of the investigation.
