Prince and the Revolution | UNIONDALE 1985

NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced!
*******************

Due to the ridiculous rule of not dscussing bootlegs before release, the last thread was deleted. So, now that is has been released and circulating online; here it is again...

I wonder what track 18 is? It sounds like a cross between the instrumental part of I Wanna Be Your Lover and DMSR.

Good to have the extra stuff from the Orange Bowl soundcheck, and the Memphis soundcheck is a delight. Neat set and the sound is realy good on this release unlike the Worcester soundboard.

It's been nice to run through some of this stuff. To hear "Raspberry Beret" a month before the album was even out is great. Also cool to hear the few times they opened with "17 Days". But the clip of him talking to fans who snuck into a soundcheck is fun stuff.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

"Say moma, you forgot to wear purple! You have to leave! The big sexy moma with the red, come on! No, I'm kidding. Find a seat, a strong one".

Between this and the Worchester gig, I think Prince might had had a thing for big momas/ girls.

I'd have to somewhat agree. There's a bass climb around the 9 second mark that sounds like "100 MPH". It's def not "DMSR" or "IWBYL". However, that bass part could be played in many songs - but considering it's Prince, I'd say "100 MPH" has a fair standing.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Well, that would go along with what Dave Chappelle said about his sister who was a big girl and P showed her special attention at his concert.

Is the glitch at 0:19 moment of Baby I'm A Star a ripping glitch or an actual error with the source? Because that jump is super noticable.

Correct. It was part of the 11 soundboard samples we got last September.

Good question - most of the verses of the song are missing from the beginning of the song after the "skip."

So Prince actually decided to open a concert with 17 Days? Pretty interesting choice and it's a great version, although oddly to me sounds like more like the kind of jam that he liked to play towards the end of a concert rather than something he would start the show with, is it certain that this is the correct running order?
