So Prince actually decided to open a concert with 17 Days? Pretty interesting choice and it's a great version, although oddly to me sounds like more like the kind of jam that he liked to play towards the end of a concert rather than something he would start the show with, is it certain that this is the correct running order?

The Uniondale show on the 20th was my very first concert ever. If I remember correctly, "17 Days" was played as a kind of teaser behind a curtain before it went up and the show started properly with "Let's Go Crazy".

That's a good question. I think I have a copy of that VHS transferred to DVD somewhere... I'll have to dig it out.

Yes !! It opened with " 17 days" behind the curtain
With the lights still down.
I think it ended in the middle of the song.
I was at that show

From what I can figure out, Groove In F-Sharp doesn't fade out like the Miami bootleg and the rest of the tracks is the rest of the soundcheck (besides track 18 which is an unknown clip)

So basically delete the Groove In F-Sharp you have and append the rest of the tracks (besides track 18) to the end of the soundcheck you currently have

.
He calls for time at 6:25 and is told 6-1/2. Apparently timing the length of the take.
Then he sings "number 3, s'take number 3, you made mistake number 2".
.
At the end, I had to turn sound up high and still can't catch the conversation. Headphones on, don't want to wreck my ears LOL.
.
The soundcheck downloaded as Uniondale for me, not Memphis. I guess I have to edit.

I've found both an MP4 rip and a FLAC version of this from different sources, and both have the flaw/skip on the first show's Baby I'm A Star. I'm guessing it's that way from the pressed CDs, either from the source that way with a portion of the song missing or purposely cut by whoever leaked the tracks.

Either way, an amazing set and a real treasure. Very grateful to have more of these shows.

The concerts are similar to the VHS concert from Syracuse, with noticeable differences being working "Body Heat" into "Baby I'm A Star" (which is awesome), the performance of Raspberry Beret (just the first verse, during Prince's piano solo portion and the entire band joins in), and the 17 Days opener.

Man, he plays four ATWIAD tracks at one of these gigs, a month before that album's release. Plus a song that is still unreleased, "Possessed". And this is Prince at his most "pop popular"; he played six concerts in this one venue in one week.

My guess, is that they are "purposely cut":

Disc One

01. 17 Days - 04:24s of the "We want Prince" audience outro has been edited out
11. How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore - 01.30s of the outro/Temptation intro has been edited out
12. Temptation (spoken lyrics)
15. God - 04:00s of the outro has been edited out
16. Computer Blue - 00:10s (it could be more since the audience recording is incomplete) of the Wendy & Lisa's intro has been edited out

Disc Two

02. When Doves Cry - 01:39s of the audience outro has been edited out
04. Baby I’m A Star - incl. Bodyheat [James Brown] (instr.) 03:00 has been edited out, and unknown time of the audience shouting "Purple Rain"
05. Purple Rain (incomplete) - 15:00s has been edited out
17. Raspberry Beret - 01:00s has been edited out (the second verse)

Disc Three

05. God - 03:38 is edited out after the "Who screamed? Was it you, or was it YOU?!" outro
06. Computer Blue - 00:13s of the Wendy & Lisa intro has been edited out
09. When Doves Cry - 00:06s the "...Good Night!" part is edited out after he says "Thank you"
11. Baby I’m A Star - 06:50s has been edited out
12. Purple Rain - around 00:45s has been edited out

There are probably more edits/tags to be found (there are some other small discrepancies in the lengths on some of the audience recordings Vs the soundboards),

but I did not bother to spend any more time trying to find them.

I'm still listening to CD1. It seems to me that the pitch is a little too high, and I guess the recording also runs a little too fast, like it often was in the old days of tape trading.

Does anybody in here know an audio player (or plugin) that can correct that during playback? Thanks in advance!

Audacity is free for PCs and Macs and can do that, and much more.

America is such a gem to listen to, showing off the talents of the Revolution at a high level. Though I do have to wonder if Prince was angry for real at 7:39 of the song.

PHENOMENAL Disc set!!!!! I was jamming out to it yesterday!

The part where the fans get into the rehearsal and Prince talks to them was funny! Although Prince was a little mean to one of them lol

It reminds me of an interview with Wendy or Lisa or someone who noted that by the end of the Purple Rain Tour, "he couldn't wait to get ATWIAD out". Even I was done with PR by the end of 1985.

Just listened to this. I enjoyed it alot. Usually I am a bit of a downer on purple rain tour as Syracuse, miami and atlanta were not that impressive and most stick to a similar tracklist. Especially that baby I'm a star jam from syracuse. However these shows the playing seems better and the shows are more interesting with some more unusual song choices than the norm. Great shows
