. No, they weren't asking a simple question. They were claiming WB were behind the upcoming bootleg release of several PR soundboards. They were asking a question. Never mind how irrelevant or misguided, they were asking a question. You replied with 'for fuck's sake'. You often address people here with similar expressions (including seshhh or for crying out loud). Being polite is a choice. Ignoring people is also a choice. You choose to be rude instead. You are rude.

Rude or not, I have to agree with Bart here. Suggesting that a record company is behind a bootleg leak is silly.

People are so rude. I wish we weren't such prudes. We can be polite when we write. It would be following the rules.

I have a feeling too that warners has no access to his vault so this is as much as we will get . I saw some posts early in this thread asking what the phone call to Jonathan was. I haven't read every post in this thread, but wouldn't it make sense that the phone call in question is to Jonathan Cain of Journey? Prince called him to play him Purple Rain because of its similarities to "Faithfully". He wanted to make sure it was cool with them.
I can't have been the first one to bring this up but wanted to make sure it was thrown out there as a possibility. It would also make sense because the track comes right before the Purple Rain rehearsal on this (potential) tracklist.

True, but this alleged tracklist has several glaring omissions, whick leaves room for doubt. Perhaps WB is still working on which unreleased songs will be added, which would explain why we still don't know the tracklist. More than likely we should hear something by April....hopefully.

. Now THAT would be a great piece of audio to hear. .

Yeah, but how likely is it that the telephone call was actually recorded lol. And if some of this is what was delivered to WB by Prince, it's really unlikely that he would allow such a thing showing how he copied someone else to make one of HIS songs.

. Except there's now a new deal with Universal which is supposed to get the classic WBR albums next year. Considering there's an existing contract between WBR and Prince from 2014 which in all likelihood concerns exclusive distribution rights for those albums plus some agreements WRT special editions of those classics, chances are there's some sort of a "buy-out" involved. . I hope for the heirs' sake that they've been cooperating with efforts to investigate the contents of the vault; otherwise there will be much more delay when the estate finally gets settled. Considering that they've been showing some concert videos at PP parties that seem to originate from the vault, and considering that there was a list containing some previously unknown song titles in court papers some months ago, there must be some kind of effort underway. © Bart Van Hemelen

. Doesn't mean that's true. I find it hard to believe that they haven't advanced on this in eleven months, considering this needs to happen anyway. Making an inventory, even a tentative one, isn't that costly and you need to have a list of what's on offer to present to potential investors. © Bart Van Hemelen

the Org and this topic got a mention in this article!
"With a clear warning it should be taken “with a huge grain of salt,” a fan recently posted a “Purple Rain” tracklist to the site prince.org, where truth and fact can be relatively slippery concepts. It looks plausible enough, with the soundtrack on one disc, b sides and remixes on another, unreleased songs and demos on a third, and two final discs (probably DVDs) with a pair of live concerts from the era."
