How many TV shows have appeared showing the millions of dollars Prince spent in the black community?
Outside of click bait internet sites and 2:00 min on GMA or CNN nothing.
That needs to be told too.

There are so many over doses occuring every day. I watched a news segment that talked about a hospital in Ohio seeing an average of one over dose a day or something like that. In the area that I live, which is a semi rural area...somebody I work with has a daughter in law who is a nurse and she said they see an average of 10 over doses a day. Not all pain pills, but unfortunatly there is where a lot of the additions to other drugs like heroin start. I'm not a human

In this interview Sway brings up Prince's death and Tavis get upset with Sway and makes it very clear that he was not a recreational users. I know the other one you are talking about that one has disappered but maybe Tavis will write a book about his friendship with Prince.

Maybe it was not a secret because he was in pain because a few people who knew him have said that.
Big differnce between being dependent and being strung out. Do I think he had problems in the last months of his life yes I do ( is it because he was addicted or because someone switched out his pills)
If he was going to the pharmacy to pick up actual Rx he had some medical issues that he was not fearful of people knowing about or he would not have picked them up. You can have non-controlled substances mailed to your house.
Something else was going on with health and for some reason the media does not report on this at all.

"The fact he was found in a elevator should be ringing alarm bells because most ODs of this type were found in bed or in a relaxed position."
Something people keep ingnoring. He even had a song up in his studio that he was working on and plans to do more shows. I think he had been taking these things for a while and was managing fine until he got a bad batch. I do not care what anyone thinks Doctor contact you directly when something is wrong with your medical test. I have been in this situation they do not tell you on the phone they want to see you in person.
I think Dr. S was going to tell him he was being posioned with another med not the Wastson 355 he thought he was taking and possibly weaning himself from. [Edited 2/13/17 10:43am]

Still think those pills were switched on Prince. He himself would not have known as they were made to look like medication. Wonder if the prescription he picked up was what got switched with the fentanyl laced Watson pills? He would have thought that is what the meds looked like if he never had the prescription before.

Tyka could clear this whole speculative mess up right now. She said she knew for a year that he was going to die, she expected it, it wasn't a surprise when she got that phone call. This is entirely possible, but I don't think that if someone did switch the pills that they knew they were switching with fentanyl. Maybe they were trying to replace ones they had taken without permission. (Just a theory).

I think his doctor refused to prescribe the pills because he knew he was addicted. His doc may have been pushing him to rehab so Prince was shopping doctors, but eventually it came to a screeching halt, eventually the shit hit the fan. Here is something else regarding my thoughts on someone switching pills....someone knew about the fentanyl Laced pills Prince was going to take before he took them. When Phaedra called Dr K from Cali he sent his son with a (s.)drug in a backpack to "help" Prince....so how did she know he was going to be gravely ill before the 20th?

The manufacturer said if any where left around they would have expired in Oct 2015. So if he were taking the real Watson 355 they would have been weak. He could also been cut off due to organ problems that these pills cause if he had organ issues know Doctor would prescribe him any pain meds. Do some research on joint pain none of the things you mentioned are gurranteed to stop pain and there are people saying he had chiropractor bench in his room which could have meant back and neck pain. Do not assume that someone if his means was not trying other therapies and remember that 65k line item for medical expenses that would not be for illegal drugs.

[Edited 2/14/17 9:59am] -- The whole thing is stupid. You cannot force someone into rehab it has to be voluntary and why not say up a intervention with someone from Hazeldon which is close to Paisley Park and he had then Tyka to a few years ago. People he might had a connection to and I am sure they could have come out to meet so nobody would know. I still do not understand what Dr.S was running a test for. Do you need to run a test to tell you someone is addicted to drugs especially when he had been seeing the doctor for a few weeks. [Edited 2/14/17 11:58am]

There are things she can do right now to get his fans out of this river of denial, and there is a law protecting 911 callers from prosecution, and the doctor's son was simply in possession of drugs, he didn't give them to anyone. Tyka being at the party Saturday is even more maddening because it's not like Prince and she were estranged. And RIGHT NOW she could put a stop to rumors and ugly speculation, she might even help save some lives if she uses her position to bring focus to this deadly epidemic.

I don't get why people seem to think that you can make a person do something that they don't want to do. I can't blame those around him if he refused their advice. Many on this site, say that someone should have been with him at all times after the plane incident, but what if he told everyone who offered to stay with him that he did not want them there. What could they have done? We all saw for ourselves how Prince was telling everyone that he was OK.

I'm kinda like that myself. If someone is trying to force something on me, friend or family member I'd bar them from my life.

They told the doctor they called that he was critically ill, since the doc is an addiction specialist, it is easy to assume that the critical condition was related to drug addiction. If someone I loved was in this situation, I would have done anything, as I am sure most of us would, and while you can not force someone into treatment, you can safe guard their life with a 51/50, that would have given the doctors 72 hours to evaluate him, and who knows what would have happened...and yes he is famous and poweful, but their are plenty of famous people who's families got down and dirty and saved the life of their person.

What people are also missing here is that if he was a long term abuser of these drugs the tests on his liver and kidneys would have shown it. From what I found out it did not.
That goes back to these Fake Vicodin pills and the amounts that were supposedly found at PP.
There was no prescriptions found in his name in the United States in over a year. No evidence of doctor shopping.
So I have these conclusions....
It's possible that he could have gotten these pills in a foreign country and these medications were not screened properly and were laced with Fentanyl.
or
He got these pills via the black market in the USA
or
He was poisoned via the Fentanyl gas and someone planted the pills. Before you come out with the laughter Fentanyl has been used to assassinate people. The Russians are well known for doing it.
Needless to say I think he was taking these pills as needed and they were laced and he never knew it or thought he was getting dependent and sought help.
The nagging thing to me is that he died on the way to get the help and that's been bothering me since April 21. It's like someone didn't want him to get helped.

I hear you. Fifteen years ago, I did a 51/50 for a parent. I did other interventions as well. I'm extremely lucky and grateful, as my parent is now doing well.
In the end, many, many people who lose a family member in these sorts of circumstances worked tirelessly to try to save that person.
Of course, issues of how to best support chances of long term recovery, and health of all involved, are also very complicated.
I'm guessing you know all of this, and again, I'm not challenging your comments. I just want to add that the way the way the system works, and the scarcity of resources in this area of medicine, make for a bleak situation for many families.

Who is they? I would hope that Dr. K spoke to Dr. S because no one else would no what they were talking about and remember patients have to give permission to have their medical stituation discussed with another Doctor. In addtion, no one has answered my question about a gravely ill person leaving his premisis and not coming back until 8:00pm. How gravely ill was he?

Interesting about what you say about the test because we know Dr. S did run test and prescribe RXs for Prince. If not for organ function what do you think the test were for. Also several people have said he was not a recreational drug user and that they knew he was taking pain meds. I do not believe he was abusing these drugs for years and I do think he thought taking Watson 355 and I think he had been taking them for a while and then he got a bad batch of pills that started making him very ill and I think that is what those test that Dr. S ran might have been four.

Tyka may say something after the Probate closes. Give her time. As far as Dr. K son is concerned possesion of controlled substances, bring drugs across state lines and distrubution are serious crimes.
I find it mind boggling he and his crazy ass father are getting a pass. What compentent Dr. would do such a thing. The only thing Dr. K could have done was consult and reccomend a center close to Prince. I think he saw big dollars and if you check on his rehab/pain management practice there have been serious complaints about that facilty and treatement.
I think the people around Prince meant well but suspect they had no real idea what they were doing and should let medical decisions be made by Dr. S.

K should have done more than recommend a local addiction dr. He should have emplored princes people to do so, right now this minute, and to not contact a local dr could be a fatal mistake. No matter what was actually happening with the drug use, and who was supplying the drugs, dr.k absolutely contributed to the horrible out come, and I am surprised and sickened that he was not held responsible, how is that not malpractice? And i agree that he was more than likely jazzed by the high profile potential.
