I watched and it was sad. I could feel the love from Andre and Van. They both said some really nice things. They have no reason to regret what they said. I feel all the people on there really loved him and are devastated especially the guys from his early years. I didn't really here much new info other than one of the guys said he didn't believe the story being told. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. But now I'm really bummed all over again.

One of the women interviewed, Alisyn Camerota, said something to the effect of "many believe it [death of his son] was something he never got over." -- Hearing that made me really sad. I think that one of the saddest aspects of his death for me, besides him not being here, is that for all of his success as a musician, his dream of being a father was so short-lived and so painful. It makes me want to cry. There is nothing more painful than losing one's only child. -- Sometimes I wonder how much of the happiness that Prince exhibited outwardly matched how he felt on the inside. Did his happiness in making music mask some deeper unhappiness/sadness/pain? [Edited 2/10/17 20:14pm] Live 4 Love ~ Love is God, God is love, Girls and boys love God above

Pretty truthful. Nothing we didn't already know. Did raise a few questions. Can kinda see now that he wasn't well. His cousin said he and his family was surprised to see how much (little) Prince weighed when he died. . P got thin during/after the Purple Rain era (22-1/2" waist in the cloud suit). It made him seem lankier, thus taller. I believe he was thinnest in the early 90s. Look at some of those photos with Mayte. The Ronin Ro book describes him when young as "the frail singer". Another article described him as "wouldn't weigh 120 soaking wet and carrying a brick". There are unretouched, fairly recent paparazzi photos (in a limo, dressed in black). He looks good. Small but good. [Edited 2/10/17 20:14pm] Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Plus, there was the pain of seeing a deformed child undergoing surgery for breathing tubes, eyelid, a colostomy (due to bowel issues) and being told the child would be mentally deficient. The decision to not torture the infant any further had to be shattering. He had already built the playground and playroom. (Sigh) . Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Laytonian, I totally agree. I am a special education teacher who teaches children who have autism. I see how difficult it can be for the parents to cope with a child's disability, especially when the child is lower functioning. Prince and Mayte, unfortunately, experienced the worst ramification of having a child with a disability--the child dying due to complications of the disability. I am happy to finally be here and see what you all thought about the show. I have mixed feelings about it. I feel Andre and Van were the saving grace of it, even though they it seems they did edit to highlight one thing Andre said (about how Prince wasn't exactly fair about some music when they sort of went their seoetare ways for a time). But I also think that's okay, because he was honest and it's not as though we don't know Prince did things like that sometimes in the earlier years. He came across as a good friend who cared about Prince, which we fans knew already. The cousin seems a bit on the conspiracy belief side and upset that p was alone on April 20. The one thing I didn't like was when said that prince would "use you up". I laughed when the journalist (I think it was) said that Prince slept with thousands of women. I don't think it was that many. Van is such a sensitive guy. I love him for that. He can always shed new and interesting light on things, like when he said that Prince really, really cared about all these women. And that [his obvious pursuit of them] was almost embarrassing to the point that Van said it was like, at least be cool about it 😎 Oh, Prince. You were so endearing. And truly one of a kind. 💜 Love you. All in all I was very sad at the end, when I heard and saw his friends' sadness.

So those people get no prescription? interestingly fentynl is most commonly prescribed for terminally ill patients. 65k in medical expenses can easily be a trip to the Er, if he did not have health insurance. If he did have health insurance that 65k after insurance payout would be a deep six figure long term hospital stay, which I think would have been very very hard to keep secret.

Pretty pathetic but there you have it... [Edited 2/10/17 19:28pm] I am sorry to say I watched it and agree with you. Totally empty. Did not do Prince justice at all. He was a brilliant musician. I didn't need snippets of tabloidish type TV about his life from a few people who lost touch with him. The people who were most loyal to him don't really talk about him anyway. Memories are sacred and if shared are doing in a loving way. I would have rather watched the evolution of a brilliant artist who transformed constantly and evolved in his life musically and spiritually then something entitled "Prince the End". Totally not fitting for all that he gave to us for decades. Prince deserved better than this.

This "documentary" was really not all that. We've heard all of this info before. The part that I really did NOT like was when they mentioned that Duane's and Lorna's attorney said that Duane and Lorna told him that Prince had a cocaine problem. HLN did mention that Prince was estranged from Lorna before her death and that they both (Duane and Lorna) are deceased now. This information is highly suspect and should not have been mentioned. Prince's true fans know the story behind these 2 siblings of Prince, but the general public does not and may take what was presented in this "documentary" as gospel.

Don't worry, REELZ has an autopsy show and when Prince's whole autopsy is available(if that's possible) REELZ will let you know. I have watched it on other artist (Micheal, Whitney, etc.) and it gives a glimpse into what happened. I found Whitney Houston's interesting because she didn't just die of a drug overdose, it was several things and there were a lot of rumors going around that the show shut down, IMO. Well they died in LA so the information is public information. We are not going to see Prince on this program unless his family open it to the public and that seems unlikely. Well I can tell you all now that very show is currently putting together a Prince edition. They contacted me with regard to participating along with Cat. Made it more than clear what we think about that. Business Manager to Cat Glover.

Nothing is going to hurt Prince now and folks with half a brain will be watching this program with a grain of salt so to speak. It is painful to see he feels the need to apologize when it is his and others who knew Prince participation in this program that will perhaps give it any humanity at all. No one will ever please all the orgers though, the talkers get dragged, the non talkers get dragged, people get called liars before they've even said anything, Judith tells the truth then gets slammed for not acting as his mother or being a good enough woman to save him from himself. We want answers but only the answers we deem appropriate, the rest should be kept private, so and so can write a book, but others cannot, we want his music to sell but don't talk about the man while you're selling it. No wonder Andre is worried, some crazies out here. THIS RIGHT HERE!!!!

I saw the special last night and I didn't see anything wrong with it and I loved him as much as you did. Whether you cared how he died or not, fans are gonna see these kind of shows like this because the media always hated they couldn't take Prince down like they did Michael Jackson.
When Michael died, his fans had to go through the same tragedy, now it's our turn with Prince. It's sad, but this program does nothing to his platinum legacy. MJ fans still have to deal with all these specials like the one that was on last weekend on Reelz about his allegations with child molestion and his tarnished legacy. We don't have that with Prince other than his tragic end. Prince could've went through the same scandal that Bill Cosby has recently gone through. If you don't like these kind of shows then don't watch, but when I watched the program last night other than his tragedy, the really didn't say anything about him that we didn't already know. Because of his passing and his overdose of Fentanyl, you gonna see and hear things you don't want to see, but it doesn't change the fact that he will ALWAYS be an icon/legend/and most importantly the GOAT. We still love him and we always will.

Uh he did. Now everybody wants to act like Prince was angel. Back in his younger days, HE DID! That's part of how got to be Prince. Beyonce, ( thanks to MATTHEW!) did the same thing when she was younger too, it's when she got rid of Matthew as her manager and Bey got older and wiser that she became more humble like Prince did. Quit trying to act like this isn't the same man that in the 80's, up until the battle with his record company with "slave" on his face, didn't want to be all the way black if he wanted to be at all.
