Prince: The End (on HLN February 10)

Anyone here know anything about this? Is it new or something they showed after he died? I won't watch it if it's just a bunch of gossip ala the stuff on Reelz.

That's a concern I have of mine is another television show probing the death of Prince with sleazy talking heads more concerned about milking attention for themselves talking about a dead celebrity than giving insight into the life and career of Prince. I didn't watch the Prince episode that aired on Reelz because it was produced by the slimeballs that run the National Enquierer-responsible for running those stories about Prince having AIDS and all that nonsense. I was surprised Van Jones appeared on it but I chalk it up to him not knowing about the producers of the show. I gotta be honest, I'm sick of Dr. Drew using Prince for his cause to addiction. So many questions still remain unanswered. In the coming years, I can see Prince's death being the basis for so many shows of this genre like they did Jimi Hendrix.

How can they be allowed to do this...there is still an active homicide investigation going on. Once again don't believe the media they only report fake news. I won't watch, Prince deserved much better than this.

I don't mean for this to come off as morbid by any means...what I wish would air is an "autopsy" show. Hear me out... There is one currently that is backed by a world renowned foernsic pathologist. He has done shows on people like Robin Williams, Marilyn Monroe, etc. He takes the autopsy report, breaks it down and gives his take on what, in his professional opion really went down. He has even debunked some autopsy findings on people such as Natalie Wood. I KNOW we'll probably never see the light of day on the full autopsy report, but if that ever occured something like this would put to rest alot of speculation, being that he delves into even if there were any underlying causes as well that may not have been the final cause of death, but nonetheless were a contributing factor (i.e. Steve McQueen...he was found to not have died of lung cancer by smoking, but rather by asbestos exposure and ultimately died of a possible blood clot after surgery for removing a cancerous tumor). Not trying to take this thread off topic, just saying a world renowned professional forensic pathologist voicing his opinion would possibly sooth some of our need for closure)

We'd be able to see everything we needed to see if they just released the full autopsy report, we wouldn't need a TV pathologist, which would be someone making "entertainment" from what would be a publicly available document.

But as it stands, Minnesota law means only the family have that information.

Thank God for Minnesota law in this regard. I think it would be a disaster if Prince's full autopsy report were released. That would be a total invasion of his privacy. I would remind everyone of what happened with Michael Jackson's autopsy report being released, including photos of his naked corpse. I think we should be careful what we wish for.

Even if it's sleazy, there's some really good quality footage of P there which has to make it worth seeing, surely? I'm in the UK so will have to wait for it to be available by some other means...

Correct. That's exactly why I stated "we will never see the light of day" in regards to the full report. Unless we're still around in 30 years, which is the time frame allotted under Mn. Law. And no, I would not be interested in the autopsy pics, only full report. In regards to "entertainment"...I personally would consider a non biased professional's take rather than media speculation. It is amazing what this particular forensic pathologist has uncovered into some celebrities death, actually going against what has been believed as fact for decades, he has debunked. Even in the case of Jimmi Hendrix as a matter of fact.

Don't worry, REELZ has an autopsy show and when Prince's whole autopsy is available(if that's possible) REELZ will let you know. I have watched it on other artist (Micheal, Whitney, etc.) and it gives a glimpse into what happened. I found Whitney Houston's interesting because she didn't just die of a drug overdose, it was several things and there were a lot of rumors going around that the show shut down, IMO.

Going out on a big limb here, but I see Hill Harper is attached to the program so I hope is isn't messy. I expect more from the best friend of Barack Obama. If it was on REELZ I would pass. I will tape it and if it looks like mess, delete it.

Well they died in LA so the information is public information. We are not going to see Prince on this program unless his family open it to the public and that seems unlikely.

Laura...100% agreed, as I said in my original post was "what I wish..." knowing full well that there is a 30 year seal on Prince's autopsy. That being said, it is my opinion that "if" this were to ever transpire, it would put an end to all of the speculation going on. Didn't you mention several times before on different threads that if the criminal investigation continues past 4/21/17, that the report would be public(or something to that nature). Can you clarify what you meant by that and exactly how the report would become public knowledge as a result???
Regardless, I will be watching the episode on 2/10

There is an inaccuracy repeated in the ad for the show.
They repeat the line about him leaving the hospital after 3 hours, when we know from Judith that he stayed there for about 12 hours.
We've even seen the aircraft logs that confirm it.

Which ad are you referring to? The ad (link) provided by the OP doesn't even mention anything about how long P stayed at the hospital, it only gives a brief recording of the pilot's request for an emergency landing. Can you refer me to the ad of which you are speaking? (I replayed the OP's link 3 times just to make sure I wasn't missing anything)
