I'm not sure. Is it possible that she is sitting on her hand or has it resting behind her so that her arm/shoulder is totally invisible? I think those who think it was photoshopped think that her arm was cropped off in order to fit her image beside Prince's, even though he is facing the other way. I'm just pointing out what I read on the thread that I linked. I had not noticed it initially. Perhaps, there is a photography expert reading this thread who can chime in.

Yeah she really got me when she talked about the framed photo of her and her dad that Prince gave her. Just shows the guy really was a thoughtful person with a big heart. Agreed. He had a huge heart, and loved taking care of others. Always wanting 2 make sure every1 was "cool".

I think ppl that view him as a jerk don't seem 2 understand he was a boss as well. And like any good boss he pushed ppl 2 be their best and achieve perfection. The stories about him docking ppl and things like that... it's kinda like besides firing some1 what else was he supposed 2 do, allow horrible sound or playing? And then that's taken as a "jerk" move. The man was flawed as we all R and made mistakes but his heart was always in the right place. A lot of what he did was self preservation mode 2, protecting his own heart.

And after all the things he'd been thru in his life 1 can't blame the poor guy.

It's obvious he absolutely loved her voice and he groomed her well. They shared a closeness that was so inspiring and beautiful. Made her feel like a princess.

I saw one of her (featuring Prince) small club shows in Houston during that era. She was good and had a great time. It was her hometown and her family requested Purple Rain. He crushed it as usual. Great memories. I really enjoyed the Musicology/3121 era.

So anyone know what are the wonderful collaborations of Prince & Tamar outside of them being like uncle and neice?

I find Milk & Honey to be a relatively disappointing album (no diss for Tamar since it's basically a Prince album). It's clearly 3121's sister album but always sounded to me as if it had been made of the former's outtakes, as in keeping the best tracks for 3121 and making an album out of what was left. However I wouldn't say I dislike it either, I would have liked it to be released and hope that one day it will.

As I recall, they were no longer working together at this point.They may not have seen each other for quite some time.

One would presume that not every track recorded made the (unreleased) album. But happy to have the leaked album - it's an excellent protege project.

I thought they were cute together, no so much in a romantic way but just in general. She seemed to have the energy to keep pace with him. I never understood what happened with everything and always felt bad she was in the middle of the personal stuff but so is life.

She had also made an impressive appearance at the 36th NAACP Image Awards in 2005. (2:35 mark)

Me too. I was at the Tamar shows at the Empire Ballroom and at Club Mansion. Excellent small venue shows.

Loved the Musicology shows I attended too.

Thanks for posting that WONDERFUL performance CherryMoon57. Prince looked VERY PROUD when he performed on the NAACP Image Awards. It was also awesome that throughout his career he would spotlight super talented women of color such as Tamar Davis, Shelby J., Liv Warfield, etc.

About your comment in bold, I think Prince seemed to be naturally very supportive of women and all kinds of talented people in general.
